Resumo: (Youth Club)

The Youth Club is a mobile youth organization, which has been active since 1994 in the field of youth. The role of the organization is to promote non-formal education involving youngsters starting from the age of eleven in different activities on local and international levels and provide a variety of activities for self-development.

The main activities and topics of the center involve youth cultures (theater, music, dance, and art), organizing workshops and entertainments for youngsters (Flash mob, forum-theater, juggling or different types of games), media and communication – intercultural learning through international projects, especially with the support of the Erasmus+ programme (Youth Initiatives, Youth Exchanges, Training courses, ESC projects). Often the activities are in cooperation with municipalities or cultural, social, volunteer organizations.

This project is providing the volunteer an opportunity to learn and develop through working with children and youngsters in the youth organization, having a direct contact with local ethnic minority community and a possibility to impact them directly. The environment in the center is bilingual, in addition to Estonian, the young people also speak Russian and English.

The youth club encourages the volunteer to take initiative in carrying out activities and, through implementing her/his ideas in work with children and youth, to develop herself /himself and skills for future life.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
The youth club aims is to develop activities for children and youngsters who visit the center. The volunteer would be expected to appreciate young people, interact with them continuously, really take interest in them and in the activities. The volunteer would have to be proactive when interacting with the youth, take initiative in carrying out new ideas on his/her own but also help others in the process as well. Willingness to face challenges head on and also take responsibility are important qualities for the volunteer. The volunteer would be a vital part of the team of teachers and youth worker

Tarefas: - Working with the youngsters and children in our NGO as well as our local partners (other NGOs and schools);
- Working in urban and suburban camps during school holidays;
- Teaching language and leading events on introducing volunteer culture to the local youth and anyone interested;
- Organizing and taking part in various projects, workshops, events, entertainment activities together
with youngsters;
- Leading workshops on different topics, all developed by the volunteer with help of NGO staff.
- Take initiative and realize own ideas in action (write own local project, organize event for children
or other entertainment).
- The main focus of work will be in the Club, where the volunteer will try first-hand the methods of non-formal education. The personal timetable will be created in accordance with her/his needs and desires, but it will be flexible and available for revisions, if needed. Monthly reflection meetings are planned with the volunteer to follow his/her learning development based on the 8 competences in the YouthPass certificate
