Resumo: Since 2014, the organization organises the multidisciplinary festival, taking place in August's second weekend in the territory of Residency Center. Within six years, it has proved itself not only as a unique event in the region's cultural life but also as a serious alternative to traditional cultural developments in Latvia. In 2015, the organization initiated a cycle of concerts in the cityt and its surroundings. These events provide high-quality art in regions, emphasising contemporary art, and new creations accessible to new audiences. In 2018, the organization opened a new venue in a creative hub.

The organisation’s two main objectives are to both support and promote contemporary performing art and music and make it accessible to new audiences. Our artistic work has let the local public widen their understanding of modern art, given the artists the possibility to be seen. Eventually, troughs our production experiment, the interdisciplinarity and international work by themselves. But moreover, over the years, it has created a new audience for contemporary art and music in Latvia.

Perfil: Volunteers from any ESC program country:
+ the age from 18 to 30 years (you can turn 31 during volunteering time, you have to be 18 when you arrive)
+ motivation to learn, initiate, and get involved in the activities
+ education, experience or high level interest in the field of arts and culture (because we are arts and cultural organisation so main topics involve this theme)
+ optional local volunteering experience in other organisations
+ various background of life, interests, income level
+ interest in working with local communities of rural area in Latvia
+ want to work in team and also on your own projects
+ You are ok to live in country side together with other people. There are not many other people there and you will spend lots of time with other volunteers

Tarefas: The organization is a an organisation focused in culture and arts field that manages mobility opportunities for young people and promotes volunteering, values-based education, intercultural learning and non-formal education in the local community.

You get official trainings from ESC program - on-arrival training. Also you get mentor and project leader as your support system. For any specific tasks we usually have more people to support your training and skill development (e.g. for learning wood work we find carpenter, for learning more about organising events we connect you with more than one organiser to have wider experience and learning opportunities). You get official lessons for Latvian language in ESC online system and we support you if you have deeper interest. We also provide access to some online courses in field of music

Condições: During your ESC project, your accommodation, food, transport is fully covered by the program costs. The plan is that most of the time you live in our artist residence center. ~2 times per month you might travel to Riga to volunteer there ow meet rest of the team. You will have either individual or shared bedroom with another volunteer. Might be sometimes it will be packed due to festival or other bigger events in residence center. We encourage green travel, sustainable & vegan meals whenever possible and cooking together.
