Resumo: The hosting organization is more than just a space – it’s a vibrant community where young people (between 15 and 30 years old) can find a sense of belonging and a platform to express their creativity. As an international house, the organization welcomes youth from all over the world, with around 40% of its users being international.

The mission of the organization is to help young people – a place where they can connect, create, and thrive. The organization fosters an inclusive environment where everyone is encouraged to participate, collaborate, and contribute.

With a strong emphasis on democracy and community involvement, the organization empowers young people to actively shape local communities and deepen their understanding of democracy, all while creating a welcoming space for all.

The organization collaborates with multiple youth organisations that organise various activities for and with each other, and small communities of interest groups.

The activities at the organization are as dynamic and diverse as the young people who drive them. While some workshops, such as ceramics, sewing and textiles, screen printing, and music, are consistent, the organization also embraces spontaneous, evolving events that reflect the interests and passions of its users, ensuring there’s always something fresh to explore.

- Welcoming new users, providing tours, and helping them get familiar with the space.
- Sharing information about ongoing activities and connecting new users with others.
- Assisting in the café, ensuring a cozy environment with coffee readily available.
- Supporting with kitchen tasks, such as helping with meal preparation, recipe planning, grocery shopping, and maintaining the kitchen in order.

In alignment with the organization’s culture, once volunteers feel comfortable in their role, they will have the opportunity to develop and lead their own activities, experimenting with event planning and growing their skills in creating and managing smaller events.

Volunteers will be integrated into the team, actively participating in staff meetings and engaging in various team activities. To support their journey, each volunteer will be paired with a professional mentor from th organization and a social mentor – a young volunteer who will guide them through the cultural aspects of life in town. The mentor pairing will be carefully considered to ensure the best match for each volunteer’s needs and aspirations.
