Resumo: The National Organization of Spanish blind people is a Spanish foundation to raise funds that provide services for the blind and people with serious visual impairment.
The main mission of the organization is to improve the quality of life of people who are blind or have severe visual disabilities through the provision of a wide range of social services that allow their full social inclusion.
Volunteering programme is one of the key pillars of the organization, that aims at reinforcing the achievement of personal autonomy and social inclusion of people with blindness or severe visual impairment affiliated with the Organization.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
flexible and responsable, interested in learning Spanish and working with elderly people with visual impairments

Tarefas: - Accompaniment to people with visual impairments to help them run daily tasks
(bank, doctor, shopping);
- Helping them to participate in activities organized by the organization(accompany themfrom their homes to the organization and back home) and support in different workshops: ceramics, reading, theatre);
- Accompaniment in excursions or trekking, in big events and celebrations
- Going for a walk with them (to the beach,to the park…) offering their company.

Horário: The volunteering services are scheduled Monday-Friday in mornings and afternoons, with occassional services on Saturdays. Days off will compensate for the extra shift hours if necessary to keep an average of 30-35 hours a week. Volunteers are entitled to two days off per month of project to be taken in agreement with the hosting organisation.

Condições: The volunteer will live in the shared flat and shared room with other volunteers just 10 minutes walk from the city center and 15 minutes walk from Ser Joven office. The flats and rooms are fully equiped, have Wifi, two bathrooms, an equipped kitchen, aliving room and a terrace.

Food
The volunteer will receive a budget of 150e per month and will take care of the meals by themselves.

Travel budget
The program covers travel costs in accordance with the ESC regulations distance calculator. If a volunteer's travel expenses exceed the allocated amount, the programwill reimburse up to the maximum budget assigned. Any additional
costs beyond this budget will be the responsibility of the volunteer.

Pocket Money
The volunteer will receive a small allowance (pocket money) of 180e per month for personal expenses throughout the duration of the activity, including holidays.
