Resumo: (Teams Volunteering project)

The leader organization is a no-profit organisation founded in 2001 with the following aims:
- to promote human and civil rights, with particular attention to the right to information and participation of young people;
- to protect social interest, with particular attention to students and young people;
- to promote active citizenship, in particular among disadvantaged young people and at risk of social exclusion, and promote youth empowerment;
- to promote local and international volunteering as a tool for non-formal education, active participation and social inclusion.

The association pursues the mentioned purposes through two main fields of action.

Perfil: - aged 18-30;
- interested in supporting organisations working with and for vulnerable people;
- interested in the topic of the project (social inclusion and assistance, solidarity);
- ready to interact with people with different kinds of vulnerability and different social and economic backgrounds;
- willing to actively participate and be flexible, participating in manual work; open-minded, sociable, empathetic.

Tarefas: Volunteers will support the Caritas Centre in managing and implementing recreational activities during a summer camp they organise in June and July for local kids and youngsters, many of whom are already supported by Caritas daily activities of social assistance and inclusion.
Volunteers can organize and propose activities, games, dances and songs. The work will be mainly in the morning. They will take care about games, sport activities, general management of time and space and will support also the logistical part, together with local volunteers.
The group could be divided in smaller groups for a better organization of the work and experiencing several tasks.

Condições: Volunteers will sleep in shared rooms divided by gender 4-6 people in each room. Toilet and shower will be split by gender too.
Shopping at the supermarket will be provided by the host and cooked by volunteers in the host building’s kitchen.
