Resumo: The leader organization for children, youth and adults. The methodology of the association aims to use different educational approaches such as non-formal education, art and creativity as well as outdoor practices to empower youth and rural communities.
The goals of the association is to promote social inclusion, active citizenship, intercultural learning, respect and protection of the environment.
The mission is to support the creation of the future citizens' awareness, critical thinking, improving their ability to express their thoughts and needs, to make them exchange opinions and improve the knowledge of a respectful relation to environmental resources.
The association works on both a national and a international level and collaborates with different public institutions and NGOct description.

The association provides 4 different working areas:
1. A youth hostel located in the center of Roccantica, used as a shared meeting point for all the members of the association as well as everyday work. The hostel also host different groups of guests, organize social or cultural activities and more

2. A local library placed in the beautiful mountain top village, used to create a shared space for all to visit. Here you will meet local volunteers helping to run the library as well as the local youth community.

3. a larger cabin placed inside a lightning in the forest, surrounded by the beautiful nature. This refuge officially became a part of the association 2024, but has been organized by the association longer. The refuge is used
for smaller or larger social events, summer camp and other activities hosted by renters or the association.

4. The second refuge that the association manages. This smaller mountain house is located in the middle of the mountain at 1000 mt height. In 2015 the association started the management of the space, transforming the abandoned space into an active place for environmental education and sharing knowledge. The refuge is also used by passing trekkers as a place to share a good time and rest.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

We aim to create a dynamic group composed of different competences and skills, gender, personal attitude and nationality. The selection process will be based on motivation, a questionnaire and the personal meeting, done online between the candidate and the association, after receiving a CV and the motivation letter.
This experience offers a long term project, and thereby a longer process of learning, experimenting, taking action, stretching the comfort zone, learning to live in a intercultural environment, engaging with the local community, being flexible and adaptable.

Tarefas: Youth animation
This working area creates the opportunity to connect with the youth community of the villages by creating workshops or events, after school activities, along with other activities to support the local community.

Social media manager
This working area gives the volunteers the opportunity to take care of the social media of the association by taking photos, documenting the life and events of the association and other volunteers, organizing and posting posts on different SOME volunteer blog and managing the association website with updates.

Administrative support
This working area offers knowledge in the logistics and general knowledge of participating in an association by managing files, helping with logistics of planning events, supporting volunteers selection process, creating infopackage and documents for camps or new volunteers etc.

Outdoor activities and manual work
This working area offers a close work and relation with the nature and outdoors activities by working with the refugees in the mountains, renovating and reconstructing the shared areas of the association, building and creating, maintenance of hiking trails, both in the villages and the mountain area.

Horário: The project is composed of a 35 hours week of work and activities, 5 days of work and 2 days free per week. Usually the
work will be placed from monday to Friday, although this project offers a dynamic working schedule and includes working on the weekends or longer periods of time. In this case the volunteers will get or collect extra free days.
The volunteers will collect 2 days of holiday each month, and can be used for travels or other personal activities after agreeing with the hosting association.

Condições: Project venue
The project will take place in the rural mountain area. This extends from the banks of the river and towards the Mountains, part of the Apennine chain which runs through the length of Italy. The landscape of Sabine offers large fields of olive trees, high forest covered mountains, natural spots, smaller waterfalls, beautiful classic Italian mountain villages, castles, and the most beautiful sunsets. The landscape is almost untouched by modern developments, left unchanged for centuries, and will therefore offer a journey back in time to a more simple life. The area is perfect for trekking, climbing and other outdoor activities.
The region has a rich culinary heritage, and has been a famous place since ancient times, specially known for its high quality of food and drinks, in particular its olive oil, that is locally produced by families and friends each year and one of the best in the world.

The volunteers will be giving monthly pocket and food money, to self manage food and everyday expenses. The housing charge will be fully covered by the hosting organization.

The volunteers will be located in a shared apartment or house, in a small mountain village, alongside other volunteers of the project. You will be sharing everyday life together, like cooking and other household activities. The
house is fully furnitured with beddings, washing machine and kitchen tools for cooking will be provided in the houses. Wi-Fi in the house will not be provided, but connection is possible with keys or sim trafficking. You can find free Wi-Fi catino or at the working spaces.
