Resumo: Project environment:
Our short term volunteers will be accommodated in hotel, private accommodations and camp sites in accordance with the specific of our future projects- organization of festivals, exchanges, initiatives, events, etc.
Our long term volunteers will be accommodated in a flat rented for the purpose of the project and will have the resources of Chudno at their disposal.
The foreign volunteers would also be able to learn about the social-economic situation, in which Bulgarian young people live and work. The young volunteers would also have the opportunity to run projects and would be able to share their experience with young people in Bulgaria.
Proposed activities for EVS volunteers:
Our future volunteers will take part in various seminars and trainings so they can develop and perfect themselves. We intend to train them in using our methods in working with people.
The volunteers would become an integral part of our organization. They will share their observations about the association. They would be able to give ideas about improving the association's working environment and its internal organization. They would also share their experience and their energy to develop Association Chudno.
Our future volunteers would participate in the various activities of our association depending on their personal skills and abilities. Each idea of our volunteers would be carefully heard and discussed. Our organization is open to consider innovative ideas. Some of the activities that volunteers would participate in are:
1. Participation of the building and spreading the image of our organization.
2. Taking a part of organizing of various events: seminars, initiatives, festivals, laughter yoga, flash mob and trainings;
3. Preparing information materials (billboards, flyers, brochures, etc.);
4. Inidividual initiatives;
5. Working on the Engish version of our web site
6. Helping with the communication between the participants in various events;
7. Developing and running projects, sponsored by European and national grants.
Number of volunteers hosted:
The number of voluntters would vary depending on the city and the activity, for which we would accept them. We expect that we would be able to accept more than 20 young people.
Our association has one experienced mentor, who would be able to share his experience with other young people. This way each one of our future volunteers would receive the needed attention and understanding. They would receive support for their activities and informal training.
Perfil: Volunteer profiles and recruitment process:
We would like to attract as volunteers young people with interest and experience in the humanitarian field. Advantage would have volunteers who know English well and have interests, corresponding with the association. It would be important for us that our future guests are tolerant and understand others with their different perspectives and lifestyles.
Our volunteers would be carefully researched (through their curriculum vitae and their motivation letters). There would be also a three-person panel of judges from our organization, which would decide which candidate would fit best with our current needs and future plans.
We want to interact mainly with other non-governmental organization that have focused their work on young people as well as with organizations who work in the field of psychology, ecology and other humanities and social sciences.
Condições: Risk prevention, protection and safety:
Each young volunteer would receive the needed help in order to get used to the situation in the country and to learn about the culture of Bulgaria. Each volunteer would also be matched with a mentor, who will take care of the physical and mental state of the volunteer.
1. all volunteers would have insurance prior to their arrival in Bulgaria
2. each volunteer would receive a pre-paid telephone card, which will enable the constant communication with the other members of the organization and would ensure timely responses when needed.
3. The mentor would also have a crucial role in solving problems as they occur.
In case we have underaged volunteers, their mentors would have the responsibility and would accompany them whenever needed.
