Resumo: The Foundation established April 2022, is dedicated to aiding individuals displaced by the war in Ukraine. Our mission is to facilitate their adaptation and integration into host societies, ensuring they find security and stability.
Aims:
Create a comprehensive ecosystem of support, covering aspects like communication, adaptation, education and/or vocational (re)training, mental health, employability, and culture.
Enable them to actively participate in and contribute to the host societies, and continue to grow and develop.
Foster cross-cultural understanding and raise awareness about the challenges faced by displaced persons, advocating for their rights and ensuring equal opportunities.
Activities:
Providing access to quality education in safe spaces for displaced children.
Providing entrepreneurship trainings and/or professional skill development for sustainable livelihoods.
Organizing social activities, language learning, and cultural events to facilitate positive interaction with host communities.
Advocating for the rights of displaced persons and assisting in accessing government services.
Providing mental health and psychosocial support.
Target Groups:
We focus is on individuals and families displaced from Ukraine, as we aim to assist them in all aspects of their resettlement.
We also target individuals and organizations within communities that receive displaced Ukrainians, facilitating communication and mutual understanding.
Perfil: We are looking for motivated individuals aged 18-30 who are passionate about social inclusion, cultural exchange, and community engagement. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, an interest in the refugee sector, and a passion for working with children and youth in informal and non-formal education activities. Volunteers should enjoy or be interested in supporting one or more of the following: cultural and artistic projects, cultural event planning and implementation, and/or social media management.
Tarefas: The roles can include activities like supporting educational programs, organising community events, and helping us run our social media and outreach prorammes. Volunteers will also engage in creative activities and facilitate intercultural dialogue between displaced people and the local community.
Condições: Volunteers will stay in a fully furnished shared apartment located close to the centre, with each volunteer having a private room and shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Monthly allowances will cover food, pocket money, and local transportation. The accommodation is in a safe and accessible area, allowing volunteers to explore the city and its rich cultural heritage. Travel expenses to and from Bulgaria will also be reimbursed according to program guidelines.
