Resumo: The hosting organization is an educational therapeutic program, with a biopsychosocial approach, non-governmental and non-profit, whose objective is the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of people with addictions or dependencies. The organization is committed to the change of people from a humanistic approach through the Motivational Interview and other techniques of Humanist Psychology. The ultimate goal is for the person to develop fully by implementing a therapeutic process that encourages personal growth and integrates autonomously into society. Among its many projects, the Fundación also has the intervention of volunteers. The volunteer is considered very important in the process of change of people with whom we work, as a reference and model in the acquisition of different values, different forms of bonding between people, and different approaches to living in society.
We work with a group of local volunteers and a group of students in university practices of different social, educational and psychological trainings.

Perfil: Age: 21-30

Tarefas: Volunteers carry out their daily activities in the Therapeutic Community, a residential centre for the treatment of addictions. Although we also offer information about the different Programmes that the Candeal Foundation has in Burgos, the possibility of participating in all of them, and proposing any activity within them, bearing in mind that their main activity as volunteers will be in the Therapeutic Community.

Volunteers support the organisation's professionals through the following activities:
- Accompanying the users in the steps they have to take such as going to court, medical services, managing documents with different public bodies (as in the first stages of the treatment the Users of the Therapeutic Community cannot go alone).
- Collaborate in the supervision of tasks (under the direction of the therapist in charge), the activities of the different sectors in which the Therapeutic Community is structured:
administration, maintenance, cleaning and cooking, which is an educational activity for residents.
- Participating in programmed cultural, leisure and free time activities: accompanying on excursions, participating in workshops. The aim of these activities is to promote and educate in a healthy lifestyle. Our commitment to the environment and respect for the surroundings are a principle of the project. Going out, getting to know, and respecting are key to the developmentof learning about the environment.
- Designing and carrying out cultural, leisure and free time activities, aimed at the resident users of the centre. In this sense, we try to ensure that volunteers put into practice their own resources and skills through the design and implementation of these activities. There is the possibility of designing a Cultural Exchange Workshop in which their country, culture, traditions, art, nature, gastronomy, etc, are made known. To do this, we will work with digital tools to help learning, first contact and development with them.
- Deepening the relationship with our users, facilitating the communication of human and personal support through proximity and informal conversations with them.
- To support the therapists in the work of getting to know the reality of the people with whom they are carrying out
the activities.
