Resumo: The hosting organization is an association of social promotion born in 2001. It's part of a network of a national association born with the aim of fostering the Civil Service as a conscientious objection to military service and promoting the values of peace, non-violence and education to active citizenship.
Its office in Vicenza started to operate with the same aim in association and in partnership with no profit organizations, by creating, managing and coordinating Civil Service projects in multiple fields: social care (for elderly and people with disabilities), education (children and youngsters), information points (addressed to youngsters and families), care and protection of artistic and cultural heritage (in museums and libraries), environment and sustainability.
The volunteers who make the realization of these projects possible are young people between 18 and 29 years old, coming from different backgrounds, both local and migrant, who commit a year of their time for the community development and their personal growth as active citizens.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We're looking for a young person interested in cultural issues and organization of events. Moreover, we'll appreciate the application of youngsters who loves contact with people and with a good level of problem solving, autonomy and flexibility skills!

Tarefas: Volunteers' tasks will take place in the cultural centre, in teamwork with other Italian volunteers. Training courses, workshops, movie screenings, conferences and concerts are just some of the activities we organize. There is also a small bar where people can chat, have a drink and enjoy moments of sociality. How a volunteer can help here:
- helping other volunteers in daily management of the center, which includes reception, setting up the rooms and helping in creating promotional material (designing flyers, taking and editing pictures or videos);
- supporting the bar management during the events;
- organizing cultural events;
- supporting the project management;
- partecipate in educational activities;
- promote intercultural events and create cultural moments between people from the city and foregners;
- encouraging the direct involvement of people who comes to Porto Burci, supporting them in the development of their own ideas.

Condições: The accomodation will be a double room in a house shared with other ESC volounteers. The apartment, a neighborhood within 10 minutes by bike or by bus. Therefore, volunteers will have a personal bike to use for the whole time of stay. In there is a small kitchen where volunteers can warm their meals, have a coffee or a hot tea.
