Resumo: The coordinating organization is a non-profit organization offering remarkable experiences, personal development and meaningful spending of leisure time for young people, through international voluntary activities and non-formal education.
Our vision is to have active people with healthy self-confidence, tolerance, critical thinking, general overview and willingness to help those in need.
In Slovakia, we are the only organization of its kind, established in 1993. Our activities are for young people, leaders, youth workers, volunteers and also the general public.
The main target group is young people from 15 up to 30. The activities are focused on the youth mobility and non-formal education. Main aim of volunteering activities is to provide help to the local community or to any project necessary (social, environmental, renovation, cultural etc.). Young volunteers can spend their time valuably, can meet other people coming from different cultures, learn from each other, gain new competences and enjoy their lives differently.
Perfil:
• age 18 to 30 who want to take part in an intercultural project in Slovakia• Interested in the topic of volunteering and non-formal education and its values
• Personal motivation to step out of the comfort zone and become a volunteer for 11 months
• Speak good English
• Are you responsible, flexible? Focused on working with youth? Creative and ready to take initiative? Passionate about volunteering and interested in workcamps? Positive and open-minded person?
Tarefas: The volunteer will become a vital part of the working team at INEX Slovakia, which consists of both employees and volunteers. INEX Slovakia will help and support Pedro with the preparation and implementation of every activity. When he will need help with activities there will be somebody to support her. During the project, the ESC volunteer will be together with the coordinator primarily focusing on these activities:
1. Promotional activities
• online promotion of volunteering, the ESC programme, personal development and non-formal education
• promotion of INEX Slovakia done through various social media: preparing and publishing Instagram stories, reels, Instagram posts, FB posts, FB events, albums
• prepare plan for TikTok video promoting traveling, volunteering, personal development
• making videos for TikTok, Youtube, Instagram
• working with Canva Pro
• writing articles on blog about traveling, volunteering, personal development every month
• preparation of promotion materials – posters, leaflets, brochures, invitations, badges
• creating videos about volunteering, ESC and activities of INEX Slovakia
• working with INEX Slovakia website
• promotion of ESC and volunteering at schools and other events, run presentations and workshops
• working with the promo team on promotion of international voluntary activities
• contact with volunteers
2. Trainings for the future campleaders and participation on the workcamps as co-leader
• Support of the training team, helping with the preparation and organisation of trainings for future camp-leaders
• Active participation on the INEX Slovakia trainings
• Active participation on one or several international voluntary workcamps in Slovakia and weekend workcamps as a coordinator and leader
• Focusing on planning and organizing volunteering activities, workcamps
• Becoming the leader on the workcamps in Slovakia - participate on international voluntary workcamps in Slovakia, use all the theoretical knowledge gained during the project and the training into the practice while having direct contact with the group of young people from different cultures.
• Being in contact with local partners
• Participation on workcamps, voluntary activities or trainings abroad through various networks
3. Creating workshop as an INEX Messenger
• Choosing the topic of the workshop
• Creating workshop with the support of the coordinator
• Organisation and presentation of the workshop at the workcamps and other events
• Evaluation and follow up activities
• Outcomes of the workshop (brochure, video, manual….)
4. INEX meetings (Volunteering and educational)
• These meetings are regular meetings for volunteers, and anybody who is interested. They have different topics, it can be presentation, workshop. Your task will be:
• Contribute with topic ideas focusing on volunteering activities for regular meetings of volunteers or young people.
• Create invitations, publish them and promote, prepare the room and the material according to the needs of particular meeting.
• First meeting will be about presenting Pedro´s country, culture and motivation why he is on this project - preparing presentation about Portugal after arrival (in late February/March)
• Creating plan for the meetings, searching for interesting topics
• Communication with the guests and participants
• Preparation and organisation of these meetings
• Creating invitation and promotion on our web page and social media
• Prepare the room and all the needed supplies
• Uploading pictures on the social networks after the meeting
5. Volunteering activities
• Create program for activities, promote the activities among volunteers, motivate them to participate on these activities and be in charge of organizing these events.
• Organizing one day volunteering activities – manual and physical help – painting the fences, picking the trash, environmental work, painting the backyard
• Organising events for children, youth, seniors, people without home in cooperation with our Slovak partners (Rada Mládeže Slovenska, RC Prešporkovo, MS Haanova, ZS Lachova, ZS Pankuchova)
• Organising free time activities for the people with disabilities at DSS Integra
6. Administrative work
• Working with web page
• Working on follow up activities of the project
• Planning, preparing and evaluating the activities
• Sorting out the documents
• Going to the post office
• Communication with volunteers, local partner through e-mails, phone, zoom and meetings
• focusing on volunteering activities in the field of the ESC programme
Your own initiative of your ideas for organizing activities is very much welcomed and can be realized once discussed with the team.
All the activities are described in the application sent to the Slovak National Agency. The use of drugs and alcohol during working hours and activities related to the project are strictly forbidden. The usage of smart phone and personal social media accounts during the activities is limited.
