Resumo: The hosting organization is an elementary school that runs from 1st till 4th grade. The school consists of 16 classes of which 4 of the classes are Ganztagsklassen (all-day-classes), one class of each grade, namely 1c, 2c, 3c, and 4c. These 4 classes stay in school all day and therefore also eat warm lunch prepared by the school. At the moment the school is being expanded so there is a big construction site on the school property and three of the first-grade classes are now having their classes in another building nearby, but construction should be finished by the new school year 2022-23.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
German language level of at least A2

Tarefas: The volunteer’s main tasks have to do with the Ganztagsklassen, the lunch on the school, Corona testing, watching over the children during the breaks and bringing children from the subsidiary building to the main building and vice versa. In the Ganztagsklassen you will be taking part in the classes as a support for the teacher.

Condições: Accommodation:
You will be living in an apartment very close to the school. The school 5-10 minutes away on foot. The apartment is old but it has everything you need. There are 3 rooms, one for each volunteer and a living room, a kitchen, a toilet and a storage room in the basement. You will have a dishwasher, washing machine and a drying machine which is quite uncommon when comparing to other volunteers.

Practicalities (money allowance, food allowance, local transport etc.):
Your project will pay you 313€ per month for food and you will be paid 7€ per day (approximately 210 euros per month).
The train station is unfortunately far away from your apartment. It takes around 30 minutes by foot to get there or 10 minutes by bike.
