Resumo: The hosting organization is a NGO which aims to promote knowledge of the European construction and its functioning by informing and training citizens, participate in the development of a climate of peace and friendship between the peoples of Europe, with NGOs and movements that pursue similar goals, as well as with public bodies, States and Community institutions, promote the mobility of young people in Europe, to ensure foreign language learning.

Its activities :
Lectures and debates for the general public and in educational organisations are organised on European themes, such as the Green Deal, Fight against discrimination, the European citizen'rights, immigration, the European elections, etc. we work with institutions and educational and youth NGOs, focusing on ecology and sustainable development, solidarity and inclusion.
From 2009 to 2021, we have hosted European volunteers and have supported young people in their European and international mobility projects, through the European Solidarity Corps, as well as other schemes, such as Somobilité. Youth Mobility has become one of our priorities.

Our NGO is an approved continuing education organisation. It offers foreign language courses. The trainers are of foreign origin, which encourages cultural diversity and gives the association an international atmosphere. It has been awarded Europe Direct by the European Commission since January 2013.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Volunteers will be selected on the basis of their motivation for the project, irrespective of their gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, political views, disability or language level. We will adapt to volunteers' needs and try to find appropriate solutions where necessary.

Tarefas: - Participate in the events of the organization, helping to design and set up activities (school events, language cafés, information stands, seminars, training courses, festive and cultural events)
- Promote international youth mobility, sharing their experience as ESC volunteers
- Share their culture with the public benefiting from activities In addition: volunteers will be able to discover the different actions carried out by our partners (other local associations in the fields of education, inclusion, solidarity, ecology, culture, sport, etc.), according to their centers of interest, so that they benefit from a broader knowledge of civil society in our territory.

Condições: The organization provides accommodation and pays monthly pocket money (equivalent to 8€/day), food (250€/month), and round-trip transportation to and from the mission. Volunteers will be accommodated in a single house (which they may share with a trainee or a young person on civic service). Each volunteer will have his or her own individual room, and will share a kitchen, living room, bathroom and small garden. The accommodation is located next to the organization, close to communications and services.
