Resumo: The coordinating organization is an environmental cooperative founded in 1983. It's fields are Environmental Education and Responsible Tourism. Aiming to promote ecological awareness, the cooperative organizes didactic activities in schools, updating and training courses, seminars, urban environments. We work are also based in the city, where we work in schools, natural reservoirs, and in the cultural itineraries.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The project consists of a volunteering activity, in our Centre for Environmental Education. Four months of volunteering in rural Sicily to learn about sustainable tourism, environmental education and regenerative agriculture. You'll become part of the community and join the activities hosted. The project is aimed at boosting rural life, by nurturing the imagination and acquiring skills to implement sustainable life-styles in rural communities.

The project is aimed at the semi-professionalization of young people, through solidarity activities to be implemented in a Centre for Environmental Education. The long-term aim of the project is to build a generation that works towards the regeneration, and not the degradation of the self and the planet. To do that, the young generation needs to invent and to acquire the social and practical skills to access the labour market with innovative answers.


The main daily tasks, which will see the greatest involvement of the volunteers are:
- The ordinary maintenance of the place and the care of common areas
- The management of a receptive structure, the kitchen
- Farm care - two synergic gardens, fruit trees, hen-house, compost.
- Green areas
- Pedagogical paths of Environmental Education

Horário: It’s of course difficult to synthetize the different task all the workers carry, but be ready to become integral part of the team and open to what might come!
We ask for 4/6 hours per day, five days a week.
