Resumo: The project is a large-scaled social project that has been organizing the free distribution of essential foodstuff, hygiene products, and other necessities to beneficiaries since 2013.

This initiative ensures that individuals, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual preference, or residence status, who cannot afford basic goods due to long-term economic hardship or temporary emergencies like natural disasters, receive the support they need.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for volunteers interested in multicultural exchange and openess to meet, interact and cooperate with a wide variety of people inside a living community. Volunteers need to be adaptable to a wide range of tasks and not afraid of getting dirty or phyically tired. No special competence is required, yet every unique skill is appreciated. Tarefas: This is a volunteering project supplying people in need with essential goods. It parallelly operates in three different modes: First, as logistics center for emergency humanitarian aid it organizes and manages essential aid for people affected by an acute crisis (e.g., earthquake, forest fires, floods). Second, as a social provider it supplies people, who verifiably cannot equip themselves, with a monthly package (30kg) containing all necessary goods for their elementary needs (e.g., food, hygiene products). Third, as a social supermarket it gives registered beneficiaries the option to buy goods from our stock using our own virtual currency they earn by helping with the daily chores of the organization (maintenance, gardening and small repairs). The warehouse is filled by donations from the local community, small business and donations from abroad, collected mostly through projects, events and public calls for donations in kind.

Condições: For the duration of their visit, volunteers' accommodation, food and transport will be fully taken care of by the organization. Additionally, every volunteer receives a fixed amount of pocket-money. Participants will be accommodated in one of the organization´s own fully-equipped appartements located directly inside our premises. Food will be provided by Kapnikos Stathmos in form of cooked meals from Monday to Friday and ingredients for the volunteers to cook themselves on the weekends.
