Resumo: The desert is one of the largest deserts in Europe in which the effects of climate change, the rapid desertification in an area that is already very sensitive, the depopulation of rural areas due to lack of opportunities for young people, lack of an economic structure that supports life in the countryside and a large number of reasons is demanding effective action by agents interested in maintaining life in this disadvantaged environment.

The purpose of the project is that the youth participate in the challenges that land and society are facing as well as in their solutions; and thus, continue with the environmental and human development activities that have been carried out in this area.

The Association (Spain), along with other local and European entities, are developing volunteer programs to prevent depopulation of rural areas and to reduce the effects of anthropization on land and the environment, as well as to regenerate this area of degraded land, while promoting economic, social and human development.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: 1. Agroecology:
- Curbing erosion and combating climate change
- Expanding the
Recover species and traditional farming methods, and give value to the natural resources existing in the area, increasing local biodiversity.

2. Environmental Management:
- Curbing environmental impacts and pollution of water, soil and air
- Optimizing the use of resources and cycling energy
- Regeneration of soils through reforestation techniques and water management, for environments degraded due to deforestation and desertification of the land, and thus halt their progress.

3. Sustainable Living:
- Adopt good practices that can serve as a reference in the future life of young people and in the design of development policies
- Assist rural and environmental
development with the involvement of residents and volunteers in the life process.

4. Communication
- To promote the participation of a democratic life and in an active way in an intercultural community, solidary and with interest in social inclusion
- Cooperation within the community, promoting the quality of work and common actions with other organizations and interested agents
- To disseminate efficient techniques of reforestation on a small scale that can be replicated by the participants in other communities
- To make young people in other countries aware of the reality of the problem of desertification and climate change, of its globality and that we will have to live with its consequences in the coming decades in all Europe
- To promote volunteering and cooperation at European and international level.

- Educate and sensitize through the relationship with nature as fundamental elements in the development in freedom and personal self-realization
- Experience a sustainable lifestyle in different dimensions of the human being, through the design of a permanent culture in the time
