Resumo: The hosting organzation is a Belgian non-for profitorganisation, founded in the year 1999 by a group of young volunteers convinced by the pertinence of international workcamps as a mean to promote peace. In 2003, the organization was officially recognized as a Youth Organisation (Organisation de Jeunesse) by the French-speaking Community of Belgium.

Today, the organization defines itself as a youth organisation promoting active citizenship and interculturaldialogue. It counts about 30 active members, it hosts around 100 volunteers from all around the world on local development projects and it sends around 80 volunteers on international volunteering projects each year. The organization is a member of the CCIVS (Coordinating Committee for InternationalVoluntary Service) since 2009 and a member of Alliance of European Voluntary ServiceOrganisations since 2010.

The organization is an independent organisation open to everybody. We promote tolerance, solidarity and peace between youngsters from all around the world. The main aim of the organisation is to foster active citizenship among youngsters and to stimulate their mobility, in order for them to become active, responsible and critical members of their society. The mission of the organization is to promote the active participation of young people and their mobility through intercultural exchanges, in order for them tofully assume their role of active and responsible citizens.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

We are looking for an open-minded volunteer who can work both as part of a team and independently. We are not looking for specific skills, as motivation is the most important criterion for selection.

A good level of French and English is an asset.

Tarefas: - Co-organising, coordinating, looking for new partners and maintaining partnerships with Red Cross Centres for local projects called ‘W.I.TH’ (We Instead of THem) with the educational secondment. The aim of the local W.I.TH initiatives is to create times and places where ‘Belgians’ and young people seeking international protection can meet. This sometimes involves sleeping on site and accompanying a group.
- Running information sessions in schools as part of the project.
- Being a team leader on two workcamps. The workcamps take place from May to September and last from 10 to 15 days, on different themes (music festival, theatre, sport and disability, environment). The work sites require good physical condition (carrying heavy equipment).
- Taking part in awareness-raising activities and international volunteering fairs.
- Carry out communication tasks (instagram, fb, LinkedIn)
-Participate in the community life of the organisation (team meetings)

Condições: The volunteer will be accommodated in a shared flat with 2 or 3 other volunteers from other associations.
