Resumo: The hosting organization offers services aimed at people with mental disabilities, making the lives of its guests as normal as possible, providing residential and daily assistance to people with disabilities and taking care not only of medical/sanitary aspects, but also the personal aspects .Volunteers can work within the educational community (support for people with mild mental disabilities, personalized educational project, tutoring) or in two support communities (support for people with mental disabilities, support for people with disability in leisure activities, possibility of developing interpersonal skills capable of going beyond language). Some daytime hosts are employed, so volunteers will also be welcome to spend afternoons/evenings here. The tasks are always to be done in support of the educator.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
- Motivation to spend 10 months in a foreign country working with disadvantaged target groups.
- We'll prefer volunteers with high motivation to discover the social work run by the hosting organizations, with the mind open to take care about
- the tasks the social work implies (spend time with beneficiaries, do practical activities with them, etc.) and with the will to adapt to the new environment.
- Previous experience (also of volunteering) in the social topics addressed by the project is welcome.
- Basics of Italian or at least of English are needed.

Tarefas: - Educational Community
+ activity planning: development of personal projects for guets, management of their daily free time, etc,
+ accompaniment to social evenst, traditional markets and events
+ organize moments of leisure and personal development
+ particpate in excursions with the group
+ support in daily activities
+ participation in trips
+ preparation of meals and small housekeeping tasks with people of the center

- Service in the support community
This service performed in two other hosting structures:
+ enrich the lives of people with disabilities and support them in their daily lives
+ doing tasks for the community life: shopping, cooking, cleaning, whatching movies, doing handicrafts together

- Networking
+ contacting other organization
+ propose initiatives to be done in cooperation
+ follow the process when decidin to carry out an activity
+ animate the social networks of the cooperative

Condições: Volunteers will be hosted in independent apartments and well served by public transports. Shared bedroom taking care to separate males and females,
Volunteers will receive a monthly allowance of 150€ to be used for the personal shopping, in addition to the EU pocket money of 5€ per day.
Two ways international travel is covered by EU funds according to the distance band (180€ up to 499 km; 275€ from 500 to 1999 km).
Volunteers will receive a bike and bus tickets.
