Resumo: The hosting organization is a social cooperative (ex L.381/91) and is a non-profit organization (Onlus) that involves workers, people in work placements, placements for public utility work and volunteers involved in a single project: to give a second chance to people and things that apparently do not have one. The organization was established in 1979 on the initiative of a group of citizens whocame together to discuss and debate the quality of life with a focus on the area of work andthe realities of marginalization and youth distress.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
- Motivation to spend 10 months in a foreign country working with disadvantaged target groups.
- We'll prefer volunteers with high motivation to discover the social work run by the hosting organizations, with the mind open to take care about
- the tasks the social work implies (spend time with beneficiaries, do practical activities with them, etc.) and with the will to adapt to the new environment.
- Previous experience (also of volunteering) in the social topics addressed by the project is welcome.
- Basics of Italian or at least of English are needed.

Tarefas: The volunteer can be involved, according to his skills and interests, in one or more of the following main areas:

- Supporting and completing the hosting organization:
+ help elaborating, planning and carrying out projects based on assisting people in their learning programs;
+ sensitize and promote topicsc oncerning human rights, social housing culture, environment and sustainable development – at every level, and even supporting the organization of local awareness raising events and initiatives, if required;
+ help the activities organizedby the cooperative;
+ support the management of no-working activities, i.e.the free-time with inindividual projects, etc.;
+ act as ferrymen between the adults and the youth worlds, as well as between the cooperative and the youth
+ stregth the links with the wider social environment


- Activities linked to the second-hand shops:
+ selecting the items helping clients
+ setting up the items in the shop to promote them
+ service in second-hand bike repair laboratory
+ service at the social bar

- Sensitization educational and training sessions with schools
+ environmental laboratoty at school
+ group visit in the cooperative

- Digital activity
+ Project promotion via social media, learning sessions via digital platforms
+ sensitization about ESC: creation about ESC: creation of event with the volunteers of the territory

Condições: Volunteers will be hosted in independent apartments and well served by public transports. Shared bedroom taking care to separate males and females,
Volunteers will receive a monthly allowance of 150€ to be used for the personal shopping, in addition to the EU pocket money of 5€ per day.
Two ways international travel is covered by EU funds according to the distance band (180€ up to 499 km; 275€ from 500 to 1999 km).
Volunteers will receive a bike and bus tickets.
