Resumo: (Red Cross)
The Italian Association of the Red Cross aims to provide health and social care both intimes of peace and in times of conflict. The guarantee and guide of the actions ofevery volunteer and employee of the Red Cross are the
seven FundamentalPrinciples of the International Movement of the Red Cross, which constitute its spiritand ethics: Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Volunteerism, Unity and Universality.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Personal motivations. We value the volunteers’ interest in the programme proposed and the expectation towards this experience more than specific skills: everything you need to do your service will be learnt here!
- English and Italian level. Italian or English are not needed, of course, a survival level will be helpful to get by in everyday needs, especially because you will be probably in touch with people who don’t generally speak foreign languages. This experience is also your opportunity to improve your communication skills!
- Interest in working with people. Working with people is essential to our work. We also value creative, proactive and self-motivated people.

Tarefas: The volunteers will be involved to the activities organised by the local Red Cross in 5 different areas.
The volunteers WILL NOT be involved in emergency situations and WILL NOT deal with First Aid interventions.

They will be involved in the following activities:
- Social and cultural entertainment activities in rest homes for eldery people ;
- Food distribution activities: In collaboration with the local authorities, the service provides the distribution of goods to a group of local families with fewer opportunities. The aim of the project is to regularly support the families in need, attempting to lighten their financial burdens and providepersonal support;
- Homeless support activities: the project was conceived tocreate a first contact with homeless people that temporarily or permanently reside in our city. The volunteers take care of the stock and distribution of clothes, preparation of hot meals/beverages, having a respectful interaction with those who are willing to. The project is focused on building ties aimed at creating a potential recovery process towards the community.
- Laundry service: service for the homeless, to allow them to do laundry. The aim of this service is toprovide an opportunity for homeless people to do laundry.
- Tempo della Gentilezza: this service was born for Covid-19. It provides support for people who arealone or in isolation, delivering their groceries or medicines at home.
