Resumo: The hosting organization is a non-profit organization and social enterprise based on the principles of mutuality. Established in 1987, it offers socio-educational and cultural services in response to identified needs, with a strong vocation for multi-level integration and the empowerment of involved people. Currently, we provide different groups suffering from exclusion with high quality lifelong learning, training and support.

Our main target groups are children, youths, elderly and persons with disabilities but the Cooperative deals also with different issues focusing on cooperation, migration and human rights, aiming to activate the local community through the organisation of public events and meetings, fostering active citizenship and responsible participation at every level.

Our vision is to create a socially responsible territory, an inclusive community, in which solidarity, integration and active participation are shared values. Our mission is to work together with people and local stakeholders to make every person the protagonist of his/her own life. We develop and manage social projects and services promoting social inclusion, active citizenship and a culture of solidarity.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
The organization is looking for motivated volunteers to undertake voluntary work abroad in the social field with older people, children and disabilities. In addition, the volunteer must have the desire and commitment to learn the Italian language once the project starts.
It is not important to have a background in the social sector, the most important criterion is motivation and the desire to get involved in a proactive and open manner. In addition, the volunteer must wish to spend a period abroad, sharing the experience with other volunteers.

Tarefas: The aim is for the volunteer to become involved in some of the activities that are carried out together with operators and educators. In this way he/she will be able to discover the value of social cooperation in Italy and how it works, learn how to relate to and carry out activities with people with fragility, and get involved in a foreign country. The volunteer will make his experience with 5 other volunteers, also hosted by Margherita Cooperativa.

Condições: All volunteers hosted will live in a flat, close to the cooperative's headquarters. The flat consists of 3 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 living room, 1 kitchen and a large terrace. It is possible to reach bars, supermarkets and the cooperative by bike or on foot. In the case of longer journeys for activities, transport will be provided.
Each volunteer receives monthly pocket money to cover their food and personal expenses. No costs are charged to the volunteer for maintaining the flat or in connection with the realisation of the volunteer activities.
