Resumo: Th hosting organization founded in 2008 in Italy works in the areas of social and environmental sustainability. The project is available for 2 volunteers at the community for mildly disabled people. It is a home that wants to be a response to the ‘after us’, to support the autonomy of disabled people. There are very peaceful daily rhythms, which make one feel ‘at home’, in a family atmosphere.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
The Association firmly believes in the power of volunteer projects as a significant help to implement and expand the residential services offered, to the benefit of the guests, the host organisation, the local community, social services and the volunteer themselves.
We are looking forward to welcoming 2 motivated and curious young people to experience a real community life, sober and simple, who enjoy working in the social field, with an open mind to embrace different ways of living and who can bring new perspectives to the activities.

Tarefas: The volunteers will be involved in various daily activities with guests and under the supervision of an operator, i.e. preparing meals, cleaning, maintaining the house, processing agricultural products, accompanying guests, supporting our other communities on special occasions, organising walks, outings, workshops, parties, holiday groups, doing language mediation. The volunteers will autonomously plan and conduct an activity.

Condições: Food, accommodation, health insurance and pocket money are provided by the European Solidarity Corps program. Volunteers will stay in a flat located near the community for mothers and children. The accommodation has a fully equipped kitchen (food is provided weekly by the Association), a living room and a bathroom and will have a double room. They will have bicycles and bus tickets when needed. On duty volunteers will have lunch with carers and guests.
