Resumo: The hosting organization has a long tradition of voluntary work and being active in the neighbourhood, which is very important and permanently refined. As an organisation, they run kindergartens, day-care centres, youth clubs and further social community work. Since 2005 the orgaization has been organising full-day-care centres at ten primary schools in Berlins southwest whereof five of those day-care centres in different schools participate in the ESC program. ESC-volunteers will mainly support the open and non-formal education activities in school as well as the full-day care activities in the afternoon. Together with the social workers and the children, cultural education, leisure and sports activities are developed for the young people. The primary schools all have a different focus in their daily work.
