Resumo: (GARDEN ANIMATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACILITATION)
The hosting organization is an non-profit organisation created in 1983 in the field of Environmental Education and Substainable Development. We facilitate, using non formal education, about :
- Norman bocage/Wetlands
- Seaside
- Substainable development

Our goals are to inform, share and educate, using non formal education, as many people (from 18 months to the old generation) about the wonders of flora, fauna and the ecosystems for a better protection of Nature.

As caring about our environment doesn't stop at borders, we started getting involved in many Erasmus + projects : Youth Exchange, Worshops, sensitisation in schools and events. We've been hosting and sending volunteers since 2000.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

It can be for you if...
You truly care about Nature/the environment and want to get new skills/share yours by facilitating with people.
You’re creative, want to try and imagine new things.
You don't mind getting your hands dirty, are interested in gardening and working outdoors.
You like to talk to people, learn from each other, to facilitate, share your culture and discover others.
Don't worry, no need to be fluent in french even though a real interest in the language will be needed. A base of french will help your adaptation process as most french people don’t speak english. If not at ease with french, a base of english will be necessary, to be able to communicate and make your start of the volunteering easier on you.
You'll need to be body able in order to go on the field, work in the garden, facilitate etc...

Tarefas: + Help with the local garden : learn and experiment to maintain a healthy and natural garden
+ Help the environmental facilitators with their animations (toddlers, children, youngsters, adults, older generation)
+ Facilitate about environmental issues with youngsters
+ Create pedagogical tools to be used in the activities
+ Help the naturalists do the inventory of flora/fauna
+ Be ambassadors of the ESC (explain your missions and your project and do activities with youngsters about international mobility and interculturality)
+ Feed the social networks
+ Create your own project depending of your creativity =)

Horário: Monday
Morning - 9.30am to 12.30pm : Preparing the animations of the week/Team meeting
Afertnoon - 1.30pm to 4.30pm : Creating pedagogical tools for nature activities

Tuesday
Morning - 9.30am to 12.30pm : French class and feed the social networks
Afertnoon - 1.30pm to 4.30pm : Co-animate an activity about interculturality

Wednesday
Morning - 9.30am to 12.30pm : Preparing the animations of the week
Afertnoon - 1.30pm to 4.30pm : Educate kids about the environment in Nature Club

Thursday
Morning - 9.30am to 12.30pm : Creating pedagogical content for future animations
Afertnoon - 1.30pm to 4.30pm : Co-animate an activity about nature and the environment

Friday
Morning - 9.30am to 12.30pm : Prepare or animate an activity in the garden
Afertnoon - 1.30pm to 4.30pm : Go on the field to survey seal population

Weekend off

Condições: You will be in a shared house, in a lodge on a farm.
The bus stop that can lead you to the organisation is 5mn walking from the farm. The house is 15mn by bike from the organization.

The housing has all the regular facilities (burners, fridge, microwave, washing machine near by, wifi…).
You will be in charge of the cleaning of the house, it will be important to give it back as it was when you arrived.

The lodge hosts weddings during the year as well as some events.

Transportation
An electric bike will be lent to you. It will be your responsability. Bus transportation can also be possible. Driving licence is great but not mandatory.

Food
You will receive 10€/day for food. You can cook at the house and warm up at the organization.

Pocket money
You will get 8€/day for your own leisure activities
