Resumo: Our educational center is a public school located in a small hamlet very close (less than 4km) and located in the heart of its orchard, in an area with its own characteristics, culture and idiosyncrasy. This town has approximately 1000 inhabitants.

In our center, the faculty has decided to work primarily through an active, participatory, manipulative and competent methodology, giving special importance to the psychological/emotional aspect and education in values in a cross-cutting manner.

Our mission is to provide and facilitate the integral development of the students in a respectful environment where autonomy, self-determination, responsibility and active learning take main relevance.

Our vision as an educational center is to become a creative, inspiring and innovative organization that integrates all the people of our educational community in interaction with the environment around us. Therefore, our action is aimed at students, faculty, families, educational community, immediate social and cultural environment and other agents that collaborate or are involved in a more timely manner.

Some of the values of our center are: respect, action, empowerment, involvement, creativity, responsibility, autonomy, self-determination, cooperation and sustainability, in order to acquire a meaningful and experiential learning that includes all dimensions of the human being, giving special relevance to the psycho-emotional dimension.

The volunteer activity consists of an enriching exchange of knowledge, values, experiences and skills between the volunteer and the social and human context where he/she develops his/her volunteer task. In the specific case of the organization, the context of action of the volunteer will be determined by the following lines of action, which are framed in our Educational Project:

- Learning by projects, by tasks, learning situations or through play, art and creativity.
- Workshops that promote different skills: theater in the classroom, creative writing, radio podcast, storytelling or magazine.
- Manipulative math.
- Music and artistic activities as the main tool to enhance creativity.
- Education for sustainability, ecological transition, circular economy, respect for the environment and solidarity.
- Space for learning through play and for the development of the innate curiosity of each individual.
- Mixed groups of different ages.
- Small groups and inclusive teaching respecting the different needs of the students.
- Educational community, where the family actively participates in collaboration with the environment.
- Intergenerational education. Involvement of the elderly in our environment in the day to day of our educational life.
- Priority in establishing a climate of respect, tolerance and empathy, as well as peaceful and restorative conflict resolution.
- Cross-cutting work on education for physical and psycho-emotional health and education in values.

These lines of action allow the volunteer to realize and grow if his or her ideals and aspirations are aligned with solidarity and with the other principles of the ESC (respect for human dignity and human rights, fair and egalitarian society, pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice and equality).

Perfil: This project is aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years old who have not participated in any European volunteering project (EVS or ESC) before. We will give priority to the selection of young people with fewer opportunities.

The selection will be made based on the attitude, the willingness to participate, the motivation and the commitment to the values of the project rather than knowledge and skills of the candidates .

We value the responsibility, the spirit of initiative, the patience and the ability to step back from interpersonal conflicts in order to deal with them more effectively, and the enthusiasm and willingness to participate in the different activities offered.

No young person willing to participate in our project will be excluded for any reason (economic difficulties; social or geographical obstacles; cultural or ideological differences; sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, gender and gender identity, etc.).

Tarefas: Volunteers are welcome to actively participate in all activities proposed by the school community and to propose other activities that motivate them, as well as to develop personal projects that help them to grow and learn. This participation will always be guided and supported by the teachers in charge and by other people from the school community involved in the project, tutoring the learning derived from this participation. We would like to welcome a volunteer who could help us in the daily tasks of our community. We value responsibility, autonomy, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

We also appreciate that the volunteers like to travel by bike (since there is not much public transportation) and work in our garden preparing the soil, planting, weeding, watering,...
