Resumo: The volunteer enters into community of people with hearing impaired.The volunteer would be in position of assistent of a leader of workshops. In our organisation there are drama creative workshop, art workshop, handmade workshop. The volunteer can cooperate and participace in creating the culture programme. Our organization enables the volunteer to be provided with opportunities to get experience in organization of international events as well as in the area of personnel management during the EVS. We offer a possibility to take part in a course of international signing, course of the Slovak sign language and courses aimed to improve communication skills within the organization for the volunteer.

Perfil: We will prefer applicants with hearing impairment and young workers focused on the target group of citizens with hearing impairment in a volunteer selection process. The level of the communication skills in sign language, in a written form of the national language, the flexibility, creativity, inventivess, knowledge of the topic - specifications of work with the community of hearing impaired will be a criterion for selection of a volunteer with hearing impairment or without hearing impairment (an intact one). In case of an intact volunteer (without hearing impairment) knowledge of spoken languages will be a selection criterion as well. A board consisted of hearing and deaf experts who will assess the level of communication skills of the volunteer are going to decide about volunteer selection. It would be the best if a sending organisation was an organization working with a hearing impaired clientele, however, we are open towards organization with different focus as well.

Tarefas: Our organization enables the volunteer to be provided with opportunities to get experience in organization of international events as well as in the area of personnel management during the EVS. We offer a possibility to take part in a course of international signing, English language course for the deaf, course of the Slovak sign language and courses aimed to improve communication skills within the organization for the volunteer. The volunteer would be in a position of an assistant of foreign participants of the festival coordinator and an assistant of a teacher during afterschool educational activity within her/his active participation in performed activities in our organization. The volunteer can cooperate and participate in creating the programme of the International Festival of the Deaf Culture and that way also in development of further cooperation with organizations focused on clients with hearing impairment at cultural, free time and other events. In connection with the festival it is also communication with foreign partners, assistance at international communication, at selection of participants of the festival (artists) as well as participants of other events organized by our organization, providing and coordinating personnel management of other deaf volunteers, dramaturgy of the festival. Besides the above activities active participation in workshops and drama creative workshops for children and adults that form a part of the festival and in creation of her/his own "mini-projects" is concerned. Possibility of active participation at administration and management of our organization as well as participation - assistance at after-school educational activity through informal education has been suggested within the organization. At all active assistance in all mentioned areas we speak about the possibility to provide information how to become an EDS volunteer from the side of the volunteer.
