Resumo: Volunteers, who want to cooperate with us will get to know the aims and the structure of the organization by supporting its activities. We would like to meet new volunteers, take advantage of the volunteers' individual skills, exchange experiences and give them opportunity to develop themselves.

Perfil: The volunteer should be an open-minded person, who would like to meet new people, and learn about new countries and cultures. He/she should be interested in work with children, youth, disabled people or adults. Volunteers should be flexible, creative and communicative. Experience in national culture, social and youth work, and work with disabled people would be an asset.

In the beginning the volunteers will be put in contact with the other volunteers (students and GPS groups), other youths, and organizations and encouraged to join local cultural associations. Volunteers will learn how to work in the office and the administrational and personal structures in the organization. During this time we wish for them to take part in intensive polish language classes.
We are open to cooperate with every sending organization.

Tarefas: The host organization guarantees the possibility for volunteers to participate in different activities named in the contract with the sending organization. Volunteers will help as full time workers and they will work with competent staff.

TASK 1 - HELP DISABLED PEOPLE
- to help during rehabilitation and educational activities
- to take care of disabled people
- to organize leisure time activities (meetings, theme events, going to the theatre and cinema)
- to teach people normal daily activities and cultural behaviour
- to present different cultures, traditions, art and customs
- to help with activities for disabled people (holidays, excursions, therapy)
-help with some office work (e.g. send faxes, copy documents, send correspondences)

TASK 2 - WORK WITH DIFFERENT PROJECTS, EVS PROMOTION AND OWN IDEAS
- to meet with other volunteers interested in international voluntary service
- to promote EVS
- to help preparing international and national workshops, cultural events, meetings, conferences, ecological excursions
- to help in correspondence with partner organizations
- to prepare own project (f. ex. international exchange, workshops, conferences, other activities)
- to help in seeking new partner organizations
- ordering documentations (press, photo archives)
- creating and updating the "Windmill" website
- office and administration (preparing projects, translating and correcting texts, preparing brochures, computer work)
- helping to prepare and lead seminaries, workshops, conferences

TASK 3: OFFICE WORK, MEDIA, WORK WITH CHILDREN AND YOUTH
- to help prepare summer and winter breaks
- to accompany children in their various activities
- to prepare theme workshops and interesting games
- to assist and be responsible for some local projects and initiatives (cultural evenings, exhibitions, sport events, art, cooking)
- to take part in different games with children and play with them
- to help in looking after children during the entertainment (trips, matches)
- to take photos, make films
- ordering documentations (press, photo archives) office and administration (preparing projects, translating and correcting texts, preparing brochures, computer work)

TASK 4: WORK IN THE CULUTRE DEPARTMENT
- to help to organize festivals, mass events mainly about culutre diversity or connected with disabled people,
- to prepare and take part in the meetings for children, youth and disabled people about culture, Euroepan Union, european projects,
- to take photos, make films
- office and administration (preparing projects, translating and correcting texts, computer work)
- we would like to perform special actions which will promote other culuters. For egzample we would like to invite many volunteers (including those with fewer opportunities) who will prepair Christmas Festival. It would be time of Christmas goodies, customs, songs and decorations. Time learning about cultures and customs from other countries. Each of them will be represented by a few people who are working in groups will present Christmas customs of their country.

On short term projects we would like to guest volunteers (including with those fewer opportunities). They will work with disabled people, the will help orginazing workshops for them, and will work with them in every workshop, like wood, candle etc. Short term is a very intense time that will broaden horizons, build up self-esteem and learn responsibility, independence and team work. People with fewer opportunities - people with physical disabilities will learn to overlook their shortcomings and highlight their advantages and strengths. People with disabilities and those with othe fewer opportunities are exposed to the removal from society and the loneliness group work with a healthy, disabled and the other with fewer opportunities will open a volunteer with fewer opportunities for other people and socializing it, which will affect positively on his future life.

Condições: Organisation is able to host 10 long-term volunteers and 10 short-term volunteers with less opportunities at the same time.

We are open to entertain youth people with few opportunities - from a less-privileged cultural, geographic or socio-economic background. We have experience in work with disabled and ill people.Psychologists serve their needs. There are meetings of support-groups, individual and group consultations and workshops. Some psychologists speak English and they can help to solve problems that arise.

Many people with fewer opportunities come to our foundation. We listen to their problems and we always try to help, to find a solution, to give them hope, time and understanding. We are sure the problems of people from different countries are similar, so we are ready to give them a helping hand.


Volunteers will take part in a job training and Health and Safety Course. We familiarise them with the Health and Safety at Work Act in their place of accommodation, kitchen and workplace. Every volunteer will have a personal mentor and they will be in touch at all times.

In the foundation safe living and working environment is guaranteed. Safety and protection of staff and youth is the most important for us.

The staff is responsible for children, youth and disabled people. A volunteer helps the full-time worker but he/she doesn't bear responsibility. He/she will not stay alone with children or disabled people. We will prepare the volunteer for the work they will do with our organization.

Formação: We would like to cooperate with volunteers from different countries. Volunteers will have the possibility of proposing and developing activities depending on their interests. They will have the possibility to express their point of view in the different tasks and offer new ideas.

We are open to volunteers' own ideas and initiatives while organizing and preparing such classes, meetings and work. We appreciate that volunteers also have their own ideas for organizing activities in the projects. We would like to make this project together with volunteers. Moreover we expect to expand our activities during the volunteers visit.

Volunteers who will come can broaden horizons and learn other cultures, language; they can learn how to take care the disabled people and children; they can learn many games for children, they can learn also openness, responsibility, punctuality; and how to operate computer and the Internet (MS Office programs) like also fax machine and copier.
