Resumo: The hosting organization was founded in 1956. The centre is state-owned, budgetary special educational institution of Panevezys. The centre is intended for pupil (children and youth) from 7 to 21 years old, intellectual and/or complex disability (reading and writing disorders, autism, down syndrome, emotional disorders, attention deficit disorders).
The centre is open to the community, able to cognize and cherish psychological and physical puissance of those with intellectual and complex disability, acknowledge each personality, comprise unique chances for their continuous self-development, prepare them to lead an independent life inside local communities or prepare them for vocational education or trainings.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

We generally look for volunteers who are dynamic, creative, sociable, patient and that know what they want to do. You have to be motivated, willing to learn Lithuanian, able to work in a team, be sociable, flexible and creative: we would like to host people with interesting hobbies, with their own ideas and open to different cultures.

Tarefas: The volunteers will be fully included into the team, in organizing activities and different workshops for the children and youngsters with intellectual disabilities. The main activities and fields of work for volunteers will be: assisting and working with disabled children together with teachers during lessons in this way exchanging the ideas and the methods; assisting pupil in non-formal extra activities; volunteers will have chance to organize their own events and activities. The volunteer will have a lot of freedom to initiate his/her own activities for children. This project will not only open up possibilities for the children, but also for the volunteer who will get to know a new social and cultural world.

Condições: Volunteers will be living in the separate apartment in the dormitory of our center. All of volunteers will have separate rooms, shared kitchen and bathroom. We will provide towels, blankets, pillows and bed linens. Internet connection is at the center (in IT classes) and in the accommodation place (wi-fi).
Pocket money: 150€/pers/month.
Our organisation provides a fixed amount for food - 180 €/pers/month.
The travel costs to/from the project will be recovered according the Erasmus+ distance calculator, based on the distance expressed in kilometers.
