Resumo: (Special School for Work Adaptation)
Established in 1957, the Special School aims to prepare teenagers up to 24 years old with moderate to severe intellectual and conjugate disabilities for employment and independent living. Alongside traditional subjects like math and writing, the school offers practical, therapy, sports, and creative classes such as cooking, gardening, horse therapy, and drawing.
Volunteers play a crucial role in organizing and conducting educational, rehabilitative, and caring activities for teenagers with various levels of disabilities.

We seek motivated candidates with proactive, creative problem-solving skills, initiative, well-honed organizational abilities, and at least basic English proficiency. The ideal candidate enjoys public speaking, embraces daily routines, and is highly motivated to organize diverse activities that enhance integration among Polish and international students, children, and youth.
Tarefas: - Assisting teachers with educational and caregiving tasks, aiding students in daily activities such as eating, cleaning, and improving mobility and manual skills.
- Supporting during both academic and extracurricular classes, including math, social skills training, after-school clubs, outings, hydrotherapy, mobility improvement exercises, sensory integration, and more.
- Creating educational materials for classes and developing unique activities.
- Providing assistance to teachers and students in vocational classes such as pottery, cleaning, gardening, and cooking as part of the Adapting to Work program
Horário: The volunteer will work full-time with the Hosting Organization team from Monday to Sunday, totaling a minimum of 35 hours per week with two days off. This may require flexibility to work evenings and weekends, depending on events in the local community. Additionally, they may collaborate with other ESC volunteers in associated schools, kindergartens, and local institutions to develop joint projects and events.
Condições: * Travel costs coverage: Up to the limits established in the Erasmus+ Guide distance calculator from the volunteer’s region of residency to our city, and back.
* Free Accommodation: Double room. Houses are fully equipped (kitchen, bathrooms, washing machine, etc.). Note: be ready to share your flat with other volunteers of the other gender (not rooms!).
* Monthly allowance:
Pocket money: 150 euro/month (approx. 650 pln)
Food money: 600 pln/ month
* Insurance: European Health Card and Henner
* Language courses: Online Linguistic Support, possible lessons in person, according to availability.
