Resumo: The hosting organization works in several areas:
- CHILDHOOD, MINORS AND YOUTH AREA
+ Youth Information Centres addressed particularly to young people (13-30 years old).
+ Educational services for minors aged 6-14 (Nursery; school education, home education and home care; street animation and territorial)
- MIGRANTS AND REFUGEES
Reception service providing the integration of holders of international protection (SAI ex SPRAR and FAMI projects). In cooperation with local institutions we manage inclusion projects for migrants
- HEALTH AREA
Home Care services, a complex of social assistance services offered for elderly people, people with disabilities and children, and Support services for Family Doctors, such as secretariat and nursing services in association with medical offices
- DISABILITY AND MENTAL HEALTH
+ No Problem Office, a social-rehabilitative program for patients with brain shock and/or with acquired neurological disability.
+ Mental health centres for patients with mental disease and social outcomes: restoration lab of antique furniture, and with biological horticulture and artistic workshop.
- WORK INTEGRATION
Employment of people with a social disadvantage in civil and industrial cleaning and assembly work.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
Tarefas: The hosting project for 2024 foresees the hosting of 4 European volunteers, who will be involved in one of the following 3 areas. Each of the operational areas gathers 2 or more services characterized by a common macro objective.
+ INCLUSION & CARE
In this area volunteers will be involved in achieving the goal of bringing a message of inclusion in the
community by exploring the issues of inclusion, knowing the reality of people who are at risk of social
exclusion and helping them to adapt in the society. Besides, they will be able to work with babies. In
particular, volunteers will work in the daily centers for the people with disabilities or kindergartens and
nurseries with kids under 6.
DUTIES OF THE VOLUNTEER
- support for the administrative management of the project
- support operators in the daily tasks
- participate in the workshops and other activities
- develop a series of activities to enrich the rehabilitation and recreational offer of the services
- create working synergies with other volunteers
- be a reliable and responsible member of the team
+ YOUTH & ACTIVE PARTICIPATION
In this area volunteers will be involved in achieving the goal of bringing a message of active participation
in the community. In particular, volunteers will work in Educational Centers developing informal or nonformal
tools. The daily tasks include participation in the promotion of EU projects, mobility and
orientation. Besides, volunteers will be free to take advantage of their experience, interests and cultural
background in order to develop activities such as conversation clubs, workshops, and etc.
DUTIES OF THE VOLUNTEER
- promotion of mobility opportunities
- assistance in the management of the spaces of the meeting centers
- participation in playful / recreational activities, manual and creativity workshops and planned educational activities
- support in carrying out school homework, based on the skills of the volunteer and for compatible school subjects (e.g. foreign languages, mathematics)
- support in the implementation of planned activities
- be a reliable and responsible member of the team
+ MIGRATION & EUROPE / INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
In this area volunteers will have an opportunity to work in the migration and refugee centers and participate in preparing and managing regional or international projects. In the migrants’ reception centers volunteers will support the management in daily projects and assist in language classes. They are encouraged to implement their own projects based on their knowledge and experience
In the European and International Cooperation office volunteers will assist in design, implementation and verification of the projects co-financed by public bodies, private foundations and European funds at local, regional, national and international level.
DUTIES OF THE VOLUNTEER IN MIGRATION CENTERS
- support operators in the management of reception and facilities
- support for the administrative management of the project (data entry, archive, etc.)
- support in the Italian language course
- participation in and implementation of workshops
- create working synergies with other volunteers
- be a reliable and responsible member of the team
DUTIES OF THE VOLUNTEER IN EUROPEAN / INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
- Contact with the partner network via email to search for outbound opportunities for local young people
- dissemination of outbound opportunities and search for candidates (preparation of online forms)
- ESC promotion
- support the staff in the implementation of funded projects in reception
- updating FB pages of the various projects
- participation in information meetings on mobility abroad
- participation in local demonstrations and events
- be a reliable and responsible member of the team
Condições: The volunteer will live in an apartment with another volunteer (same gender) in the center. The apartment has 1 bedroom (2 single beds), shared cooking and living room and bathroom. The house is equipped with all utilities. All administrative costs (electricity, water, renting costs, etc) will be paid by the Hosting Organization.
The volunteer will manage his/her own food and meals by receiving a food allowance (around € 150,00 per month). The individual support grant (pocket money) is around €6 per day.
Travel costs paid by volunteers will be reimbursed according to travel distance upon presentation of invoices and tickets, boarding cards included.
Visa costs will be reimbursed 100% upon presentation of invoices.
