Resumo: (sustainable hostel with donkeys)
The hosting organization is a beautiful ecological hostel in the mountains, is to introduce the donkeys to the new generations. The donkey is an animal that for generations has collaborated with humans ensuring their survival and development. They organize visits for groups, schools, but also families, and individuals, trekking, and personalized excursions even for several days (with a stop in the shelters you find in the mountain or in the tent). The donkeys will help you to transport all the necessary equipment (tents, blankets, food, etc.) While the children will have the opportunity to try the thrill of riding these animals along the paths and the old mule tracks.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
- Available for the whole duration of the project (May 2024 - November 2024)
- Available and interested to live in an REMOTE small village
- Willing to live inside the hostel with little or no internet connection
- Ready to share the spaces, and food with guests and staff
- Strong motivation to work with children and to do activities closely with the donkeys
- Animal and outdoors lover
- Available to sleep, during trekking, in a tent Will be positively evaluated
- Past experiences in the socio-educational context
- Past volunteer work

Tarefas: Volunteers will help in the preparation of educational workshops for children, give support during trekkings and Erasmus+ exchanges, and provide assistance in the daily work of the hostel (welcoming of the guests, animal care, maintenance, kitchen duty, etc...).

Condições: The volunteers will live in the hostel, and will receive a monthly allowance of 6€/day according to the official ESC guidelines. Food will be provided to them by the host organisation. Travel costs will be reimbursed on the basis defined by the European Commission, according to the distance between the volunteer's residence and the host organisation.
