Resumo: (ESC team volunteering project)
The volunteers will work in versatile tasks to improve the state of nature as well as participating in activities to
make the living environment more sustainable and vital. Volunteers will also have the opportunity learn both traditional and new ways to take care of and protect nature.

The seaside municipality is known for its active birdlife: the municipality is the most famous bird wetland in Finland. Additionally, the municipality has a long history: many traditional ways to take care of nature are still cherished. On the other hand, the municipality has been awarded as the most inventive place in the country, so new ways to act are composed constantly.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We would like to host active volunteers who are willing to work out in thenature no matter the weather. Working hours can change according to tasks,so volunteers need to be flexible.

Tarefas: - recovering threatened coastal plant species and their habitats
- building roundpole fences and other sustainable structures
- making of biochar and other environmentally friendly products
- promoting environmentally friendly and sustainable way of life
- producing environmental artwork

In addition, the volunteers will work with the local association to organisea ctivities for youth at local agricultural fair.

Condições: Volunteers are accommodated in a shared house. Volunteers need to cook for themselves (food allowance and pocket money will be provided). Within the municipality the distances are short: main venues are mainly reachable by
foot. If needed, other transportation is provided. Bus station with connections to other cities locate within walking distance.
