Resumo: The association wanted to create a network of twin municipalities to show that twinning was more successful and stronger when local representatives and citizens worked hand-in-hand, to share values of twinning charters, and so that twinning entities have an interest in the European integration. Therefore, it has gradually become clear that political commitment, active citizenship and living-together were three essential elements for the functioning of a twinning.

Currently, the association is the unique structure of this kind in France. Twin municipalities join the association, but the association works also in very close collaboration with twinning committees (twinning associations linked to the municipalities). Thus, the municipalities are represented in different decisive bodies of the association, both by local representatives and by volunteers involved in twinning committees : this composition is a national specificity.

Objectives of the association :
- Developing the European spirit and the international dialogue within twinning entities,
- Participating in the initiatives of twin municipalities at the international level,
- Defining together the best means to realize the objectives of twinning charters,
- Providing trainings for the successful implementation of various actions,
- Helping members in exchanges between twin municipalities.

Main tasks :
- Providing an information platform about twinning for the public and the relevant stakeholders,
- Training the stakeholders involved in twinning activities (citizens, volunteers, local representatives), in particular about European programs (Europe for citizens, Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps…), so that they can submit projects in several fields at the European and International levels,
- Helping twin municipalities and twinning committees in the preparation of grant applications within the framework of calls for proposals (European for citizens, Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, OFAJ…),
- Providing a technical, administrative and cultural support,
- Helping the members of the association in the follow-up and the creation of new twinnings,
- Promoting the coordination and the visibility of twinning activities through existing communication tools,
- Organizing unifying projects in order to propose new activities for twinning entities and to increase the innovation capacity of each one.

Perfil: - Age : 18-30 year-old volunteer
- Resident in EU countries, Iceland or Norway
- No special certification, diploma or professional experience are required
- Being ready to live in an urban area from 210 000 inhabitants,
- Eager to learn and contribute actively to the association activities and development
- Having interests in the field of twinning, interculturalism, mobility and youth
- Basic notions of French would be more convenient for the project (or will to learn and speak French during the mobility period).

Tarefas: Objectives :
Promoting youth mobility into town twinning,
Ensuring a better implication of young people into town twinning

Activities:
- Share your mobility experience with young people involved in twinning in the region
- promote volunteering in the twinning network;
- Informing young people from town twinning about the opportunities of international mobility and youth initiatives (internships, volunteering, youth exchanges...).
- Helping town twinning and twinning committees on their mobility projects.
- Participating to build and animate workshops/trainings about mobility, with non-formal education methods.
- Helping to communicate and promote European and international mobility (posters, brochures, exhibitions, social
Medias, website, videos, testimonies...).
- Participating in a common project with other volunteers. Common projects can be linked with environment or with an
european dimension according to your goals and whishes.
- Helping to animate the info point (The Franco- German Youth Office).
- Participating in many projects with other local partners especially twinning committee.
- Supporting twinning committees in the use of digital technology.
- suggestion activities about Euroepan an international mobility, twinning and youth.
- participating in the activities of the association (seminars, webinars, forums, assemblies, departmental meetings...)

Horário: 30 hours of work/week

Condições: Accommodation
The volunteer will be accommodated in individual or shared flat with a private room, in the city centre of Limoges or next to it. Provided by the host organisation.

Administrative
we will provide a food allowance of 230€ allowing the volunteer to cook independently in their accommodation and/or, if necessary, to buy snacks outside.
The volunteer will aso received a pocket money for personal costs (7€/day, approximately 210€/month)

Transport and health
Round-trip ticket (according to the scale of the European solidarity corps). For local transport, the volunteer will benefit from a yearly card Bus and a bike.
Before departure, Henner mutual insurance number for health coverage.
