Resumo: The organization is situated in the middle of a large park. It has several departments with different focus like on painting, science, drama, yoga, computer science etc. The volunteer will work in the Art Department: painting and ceramics.

This department holds regular art and ceramic classes for children around the age of 2-18 as well as for adults. Besides that it occasionally organizes weekend courses or workshops. There are also some classes which support handicapped children and children with poor social backgrounds. Apart from that, it holds exhibitions in one gallery which is available mostly to schools and young artists.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We prefer a volunteer who generally likes to work, motivate and inspire children as well as teenagers. It is important for the volunteer to have a positive attitude towards arts.

Tarefas: The organization is looking for an art-skilled volunteer who will work mainly with children and teenagers.
Our classes are focused on drawing, painting, graphic and ceramic. We expect the volunteer to help us with various art workshops and also with organizing summer camps for children. Attending occasional art sessions outside may be a part of the volunteer´s work too.

Horário: 30 hours weekly:

20 hours of work for the Art Department (art activities, help with planning and organizing public events etc.)
2 hours meetings with coordinator and other ESC-ers – time you spent with your ESC coordinator discussing your work and planning the future events, projects etc.
Up to 3 hours Czech language class/ studying at home
Up to 5 hours for your Mini project – time you spend on preparing your own mini project/s.

Condições: Volunteers live in rented flats (not in the centre of the city), it can happen that two volunteers will share one room. There will be 4 volunteers in the flat with 3-4 bedrooms.
There is no living room, only common space/eating area in the kitchen. Distance to your working place from the flat can be around 30 minutes by public transport, even a bit more.
Getting affordable accommodation is very difficult in recent years, so please be ready for described conditions of accommodation if you apply to our project. The advantage for you is that you will stay in quite a big city, which offers cultural and other events for young people, some even in English or other languages.
