Resumo: Our organisation is an open youth and cultural work that provides a professional field of applied youth work and is indispensable for local youth policy in our region.
Our work functions as a mouthpiece for the needs of young people and a place of socialization for young people. That is why we create social and cultural spaces in which young people can develop their identity, personality and relationships.
The association organizes and operates demand-oriented youth work in the entire social landscape. The offers are aimed at all young people between the ages of eleven and 25, regardless of their biological or social gender, class, ideology, religious affiliation, nationality, language or state of health!

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Our volunteers should like to work with young people and should be interested in different youth cultures, music, sports, night life and youth centre work. They should be interested in caring for young people and be prepared to take the initiative to get in contact with them. They should be flexible and be willing to take part in different kinds of projects.
Since our opening hours are mainly in the afternoons, evenings and on weekends they should be prepared to work late hours and work on weekends as well. The volunteer will have two consecutive days off during the week.

Tarefas: The participants have the opportunity to participate in our stationary and mobile presence services (streetwork), as well as in our different projects that are developed and carried out in a participatory manner with the youngsters; these are projects around the areas of democracy policies, anti-racism, gender sensitive youth work, health and wellbeing, food + cooking, urban gardening, sports (for example fair boxing), outdoor sports and activities, streetwork, art projects, etc.
Furthermore, the volunteers can support us in our culture work: from folklore and diversity parties to punk and rock concerts, interactive music projects, art, streetart - graffity, etc.
In our organisations the volunteer will be seen as a temporary team member who supports us in our work.

Examples of tasks are:
• Working in the youth cafe: working behind the bar
• playing games with the youngsters, communicating with them, giving peer-advice
• Mobile Jugendarbeit / Street work: meeting young people in the streets or at local sites, talking to them and informing them about our workshops and activities
• Assisting and co-organising different activities, workshops and projects, as mentioned above

Doing a voluntary project with our organisation, the volunteer will learn a lot about youth work and will get a practical insight into the various fields of youth work and social work.

Horário: The volunteer will work five days a week, 34 hours a week including German course. S*he will have two days holidays per month.

Condições: The volunteer will live in a student housing, where also other volunteers, students and residents from different backgrounds live. The housing is organised by the hosting organisation.
The volunteer will have a room with an own bathroom ensuite and share a kitchen and common rooms with the other residents. The infrastructure with trains and buses is very accessible and frequent and additionally, s*he will also have a bicycle at her*his disposal. The volunteer will receive a ticket for free use of any public transport in the whole region of Vorarlberg during the complete time.
