Resumo: (Children at risk)
The leader organization provides a wide range of social and social-health services along with the education. The focus of the services are people with disabilities, homeless people, disadvantaged youth and children and other people who are marginalised for different reasons.
The mission of the organisation is to provide social and social-health services of a high quality in accordance to Biblical principles of love and service to the neighbour. The services provided meet a wide range of needs, and each person is seen to be an individual and therefore the personal approach is the one which guides social service provision.
The aim of the services is not just to find a solution to the particular problems of an individual service user. Alongside this, the services aim at preventing social exclusion and offering counselling, community work and institutional care.
The phenomena which are dealt with:
- domestic violence;
- debt of individuals and families;
- drug and alcohol abuse;
- broken relations & families: foster parenting;
- people with disabilities;
- elderly people;
- homeless people.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
Tarefas: The voluntary year brings you a chance to explore a new country and its culture. You will be part of the local community and they are pleased to share Czech habits and customs with you. It’s a time to meet new friends, travel to new places and learn about yourself. You’ll get a special opportunity to share your own ideas and for self-realisation during mini projects with those you work with, depending on your interest, hobbies and creativity. Your journey will definitely be challenging, but you will participate in many seminars to get new inspiration and meet other volunteers.
You will never be alone during the service. The supervisor will support you in your workplace. The mentor will provide you with many tips for spending your leisure time. The volunteers from the different parts of the world will share and enjoy joyful moments with you. Coordinators will encourage you in your learning journey and self-growth. You, as a volunteer, will bring new energy and enthusiasm to the lives of those you work with and for.
Horário: Work 6 hour a day and 5 days a week (30 hours per week)
2 days a week off
2 additional days off each month
Czech language course - 90 minutes per week
Condições: Accommodation is shared with other volunteers. Don’t worry about your privacy, each person has their own bedroom. Accommodation will be provided for you.
