Resumo: Nature Reserves Assistant Managing Warden, in this role you will be responsible for assisting the respective managing wardens of our four nature reserves (Għadira, Simar, Foresta 2000 and Salina) with the implementation of the management plan for the same nature reserves. The management plans are based on four main pillars: habitat management, visitor engagement, research and finance. The main involvement in this role will be mainly focused on habitat management and visitor engagement, though elements of research and finance will also be dealt with. As expected, this role entails a strong element of physical work with conditions, especially in the summer months, being quite demanding.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: – Assisting the managing warden with the implementation of the management plan
– Managing the tree nursery located at Nature Reserve. This duty will also include propagation and seeding of local trees and shrubs
– Handling the administrative aspect of the work, including work activity reporting
– Assisting the team in public engagement activities
– Assisting the Nature Reserves Research Coordinator with research works at the nature reserves how and when the need arises
– Expected to also assist with replacing the Nature Reserves Visitor Assistants, responsible for engaging the public when the reserves are open to the public, how and when the need arises.
