Resumo: In June:

- working with a theatre production team and assisting them to create a theatre production (stage design, decoration, marketing and in all activities where the help is needed)

- assisting theatre team (audience guidance, selling tickets and coffee before/during the performance)

- some other tasks concerning theatre



July-August:

- working in a home for elderly people

- having a walk with elderly people

- helping at eating times

- creating some entertainment together with the staff

- assisting staff in various activities which help elderly people´s lives



The volunteering work might include some other activities but these are the main tasks.



Hämeenkyrö is located in southwest Finland, over 200 km from the capital in Finland. There is approximately 10 000 inhabitants in the town and the nearest big city is Tampere (3rd biggest in Finland) from half an hour driving. It means living and volunteering in peace, next to beautiful nature with all the big and enjoyable forests and lakes around. The volunteer will accommodate with a local family that helps volunteer to adapt to Finnish culture. The volunteer will eat local home-made food and get familirized with the culture together with the host family. The family has three dogs in the house.
