Resumo: The hosting organization operates several institutions. The pedagogical concept is based on the principle of progressive education created by Maria Montessori as well as the latest pedagogical insights.
We welcome children from 1 year up to 6 years from different cultures; the group operates bilingually in English and German. The international staff gives the children a daily intercultural insight. Children and teachers have a close relationship characterized by trust, shared experiences, and intensive communication.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
Volunteers should possess very good knowledge of the English language (C1)
Interest in working with children
Be interested in and be open about (Montessori) pedagogy
Initiative of one's own
Sport and/or musical skills are welcome
Tarefas: - To look after children, to read sth. to the children
- Accompanying the morning routine, eg. supporting the children in their daily live
- Accompanying trips (for example to the forest, sports hall or other places)
- Working in the kitchen (food preparation, celaning the dishes after the group lunch)
- Accompanying the children during their lunch break
Imortant: Although the volunteer should be familiar with the principles of Montessori teaching, it is possible to develop and offer own (little) projects for the children.
Condições: Accommodation is provided in a shared apartment -probably with one or two other volunteers-
which is about an hour from the working place by bus/train. Every volunteer will get his/her own room and a shared bathroom and kitchen.
A washing machine and internet access are also available.
You will be provided with a monthly ticket for local public transport.
During the working time, it´s possible to eat at the school. You will also receive a monthly payment for grocery shopping.
