Resumo: The hosting organization is a youth welfare institution. We take care of children and young people who cannot live in their original families. About 40 children between the ages of 7 and 18 live in the organization. The staff consists of professionals such as psychologists, teachers, social workers, youth workers, etc.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
communicative and eager to learn German; empathetic, mature and responsible; tolerant and trustworthy. Driver's licence is a plus

Tarefas: The volunteers assist the staff with daily activities: meeting the children after school, cooking, studying, doing housework, playing and spending free time and so on. They accompany the children on excursions or when needed and organise activities for them. Work starts in the afternoon and volunteers work 35 hours per week. Volunteers learn about the Austrian social welfare system, improve their social skills, get an insight into social work, educational and therapeutic methods.
