Resumo: Hosting Organization Description

Toplum Gönüllüleri Vakfı (TOG) is established in December 2002 as a youth NGO. In 2010, TOG has reached 23.880 project volunteers and 794 projects have been implemented by young community volunteers that are the members of 94 TOG youth organizations (mostly organized by university student clubs) and reached out 235.349 people. TOG has 2 Youth Centers in İstanbul and Samsun and 3 Coordination Centers in Diyarbakır, Ankara and İzmir. Not only spreading volunteerism amongst young people, TOG also fosters the principles as respect to differences, accountability, transparency, team work and participation of young people.
İğne Deliği (Pinhole) Youth Center is a local youth center located in Atakum in Samsun.
Regular Activities of the Youth Center,
-Art, photography,poetry and Self-Expressing workshops
-Break, latin and folk dances
-Hand work courses for woman, computer courses with public education center
- Street shows
-Thematic cultural nights of different countries, groups,subcultures etc...
-Psychological counseling
-Democracy and Rights, Health Literacy, Reproductive Health trainings of TOG and other workshops from different NGOs
-Cultural-thematic daily trips
-Summer Projects and international youth exchanges
-Language courses
-(Euoredesk ) European opportunities for young people to inform

Location of the project:

Samsun; İğne Deliği (Pinhole) Youth Center

Perfil: We are looking for young people interested or experienced in working with youngsters. Some artistic skills and workshop experiences would be a plus. Smiling faces are very welcomed  Knowing Turkish language will be an asset.

Tarefas: Helping the daily tasks of Youth Center.

Taking part in local and national projects in different cities.

Participating to the TOG Youth Council which happens twice a year.

Taking part in international projects.

Helping to promote European Voluntary Service among young local volunteers.

S/he may come up with his/her idea of a project/workshop and tasks according to his/her interests and skills.
