Resumo: The hosting organization is an NGO focused on European mobility, non-formal education and rural development based in Italy. It provides learning and growing opportunities to young people and youth workers.

Our vision is to contribute to the development of society, to promote, disseminate and apply through education the values of equality, freedom and care for the environment.

Vagamondo is active in the European Solidarity Corps as supporting and hosting organization since 2017.

Perfil: - Age: 18-30
- You are facing challenging situations in your life
- Interested in getting to know and cooperate with other young volunteers from different countries
- You want to live for 1 month in a rural environment in Italy, discover the local area and get to know its inhabitants
- You want to make a difference for the local community and for yourself
- You want to improve your practical and manual skills, your group work competencies and your sense of initiative
- You want to contribute to organize local events
- You want to live for one month i tent with other people and have fun!

- PUBLIC FEST ORGANIZATION
- RESTORATION WORKS

- WEEDING AREAS OF THE VILLAGE
- WOOD HANDCRAFT

VOLUNTEERS’ MAIN TASKS (due to several impredictable factors it may be that some of the tasks will be replaced, be ready to experience yourself in different fields):
The plan is to make small groups that rotate on different tasks so you can learn different things and don't get bored doing the same for 1 month
- Renovation works as scratching old paint from walls and repaint them, create furniture out of recycled wood, build flower beds and more;
- Public local fest: Support the municipality in the implementation of a local public fest!
- Take care of green areas: Weeding pedestrian roads and other activities on green areas;
- Cooking: cook for yourself and for the other summer volunteers. Volnteering Summer Fest is a self- managed community!;
- Local Events: Support in practical organization of concerts

Horário: The usual workload is 35 volunteering hours/week, 5 days per week.

Condições: Pocket Money
Each volunteer will receive weekly pocket money of 35€. That is not a payment for the support given, but a flat rate refund for small expenses.

Travel reimbursement
There is a budget to reimburse the travel of the volunteers depending on the distantance of their place of residence, calculated with the Distance Calculator
0 - 99 km = 23€
100 - 499 km = 180€
500 - 1999 km = 275€
2000 - 2999 km = 360€
3000 - 3999 km = 530€

Food & accommodation
Volunteers will be provided with a place for cooking and have the opportunity to cook for themselves as a group with an extra amount of 35€/person/week. They will live together in a Tent Camp, in tents for 2, 3 and 4 people.

Insurance
Volunteers will be provided with insurance that covers the travel and possible
health care expenses.

Local transports
During free days volunteers can travel to nearby cities, go to the seaside or explore the surrounding. They will receive a bike that they can use in the free time. Twice a week they will have the chance to go to the supermarket by car.
