Resumo: (Festival - ESC volunteering team)

Youth Center is located in the middle of nowhere, and surrounded by beautiful Lapland nature; big lake, forest, hills, and wilderness. Nearest village is 10km away, and there is no public transportation. Late August the nights get dark again after midnight sun season, and there is possibility to see some auroras if you are lucky

Perfil: - Age 18-30
- Able to teamwork
- Motivated, energetic, flexible, able to follow schedules, willing to work with people and on various tasks, and bringing in ideas to the project
- Privilege to participation is given to applicants who don't have that much ESC project experience before

Tarefas:
At the beginning of the project, there will be 2-day on-arrival training.In this training, volunteers learn more about European Solidarity Corps, get to know the youth center and the area, the way of life and the culture, as well as get to know each other.

Then begins the actual volunteer work;
First, volunteers work at the indigenous peoples' music festival village and help build up and take down festival setups. Work consists e.g. putting up fences, pavilions/tents, info-signs, decorating the area, etc...

Afterfestivals, volunteers work in Youth Center. Volunteers plan and help organize an outdoor adventure competition event for locals, which will be arranged for the second yearin 2.9.In addition, there will be also other work e.g. planning outdoor escape room, and youth center yard maintenance.

Also, volunteers make social media content to make the project visible. During the project, volunteers learn and develop various kinds of working life skills as well as everyday life skills. Other aims are developing language skills, learning about cultures, and getting to know how is life in the far north.

2-days On-arrival training

Volunteers will accommodate in apartment with 3 bedrooms, shared well-equipped kitchen, common living room area, shared showers, and toilets. There will be 3-4 people per bedroom. From volunteer, itrequires patience and flexibility, as you will share apartment and room with other people during the whole project. Bedlinen and towel are provided.

Ready meals will be served in youth center dining hall orin Inari village during the onarrival training. Forthe rest of the project time volunteers plan and prepare meals by themselves at the apartment, and also go to grocery to do shopping. Vasatokka provides food money amount. exceptions and changes; at the festivals, and also in youth center-if there are big customer groups in the centerthat have meals served in dining hall, then volunteers will dine also in the dining hall.
