Mozet is a small village of 300 inhabitants. Around the church, perched on the hill, the old center is characterized by narrow streets along which are dotted with small limestone and slate-roofed houses in whose charm justifies the title of ""most beautiful village of Wallonia"".
On the edge of the river Tronquoy, peaceful little stream running through the village, we find two large farms in closed court - whose farm Royer and its Romanesque tower, which formerly centralized the main agricultural activity. The Castle Farm of the Domaine Mozet is the third major building in the village. The villagers are employed mostly in big cities. Mozet contains no trade, no bar. The residents have relatively high incomes. The farm-castle hosts people of all ages and from all social backgrounds.
In addition to these remarkable buildings, Mozet offers attractions like the famous prehistoric caves of Goyet, riding schools, .. Namur, capital of Wallonia, is at 15 km. Namur is also the seat of two internationally renowned academic centers. The city is accessible by bus (frequency: every 2 hours). Communications to Liege and Brussels are possible by train.
The accommodation is proposed to the volunteer:
either in the castle-farm in an totally isolated, rural environment..
or in the Namur, in an urban setting, in a pedagogy that houses youth from all countries. It is then necessary to take the bus every day (about 3 / 4 hour) to arrive at Mozet.

Generally, the volunteer must enjoy life outdoors, working in the woods at all seasons.

Tarefas: "2. Proposed activities
The volunteer:
will receive language training at Namur,
the first week of arrival, will attend one discovery week of Namur and its environs ( Coordinating Org BSC Namur in charge). This, in a perspective of intergenerational transmission and intercultural discovery.
For courses, leisure, financial and administrative aspects, the volunteer will have a contact person at BSC Namur,. In Mozet, the manager will be the tutor or the reference person for the job itself and the monitoring of daily voluntary work. A typical day runs from 10am to 5pm, maximum 6 hours per day, and on average, 5 days a week. A leave of two weeks per semester is expected.
The Project Domaine Mozet enjoys the recognition of regional authorities.
- Tourism Center office approved by the Walloon Region.
- Meeting and Accommodation Centre recognized by the French Community
Grants for the animations coordinator and working subsidies
- Approval by the Walloon Region's Nature and Forest Division for training and nature awareness (valid until November 2009).
The Domaine Mozet is resolutely as an actor in its region.
Its involvement as a partner in various associations and federations demonstrate its willingness to contribute to the enhancement of the heritage of the region. The dimensions of ""environment"" or ""natural heritage"" include actions relating to the Domaine Mozet, in which it wishes to get involved:

The Domaine Mozet disseminates and implements the principles of sustainable development.
At the environmental pillar, the guidelines for the proposed activities and the ecocivic chart provided to each guest register the domain in the axis of Education Relating to the Environment.
The Nature and Heritage activities ""taking place within the Domaine affect young and old people from all backgrounds, and propose to raise awareness, initiate, train and educate for the sake of sustainable development. Their objective: to go to the meeting of nature through the five senses to give birth to another look, to arouse wonder, to raise awareness of the richness of the natural environment around us. This awakening reveals in all of us an imagination to better understand and approacg the important issue of sustainable development.
The volunteer will either participate and realize activities with young people and develop tools for environmental citizenship or teach people to take the time to ask questions and to position themselves in relation to a clean ecological footprint. The volunteer can make a vegetable garden, information signboards, movies, games, books, activities in schools for children from 3 to 12 years in an extra-school setting ...
Socially, the Domaine falls within the project called ""Environment for all"", funded by the Region Wallonne, which proposes specific activities to raise awareness for those less fortunate.
Economically, the Domaine will play a catalytic role in the field of eco-renovation as evidenced by the partnership forged with the ""green building cluster.
The volunteer will participate in the project eco-renovation, offering activities to youth, developing tools, ... Volunteer activities are outdoor activities, in nature animations, but the volunteer will also develop a project or an editorial work (either on paper or on computer: eg information signboards, ..) The volunteer will participate in international summer workcamps. If the volunteer's project is taking place at the beginning of the workcamp, he will be hosted by the summer volunteers . The summer workcamp may also be the outcome of his EVS. Then there is transmission of information, work, projects, group animation.
The local host organization agrees to comply with the minimum standard criteria described below, for each volunteer. Concrete practical arrangements should be included in grant applications for each volunteer.
