Resumo: (culture, education, arts)
The hosting organization is an arts education organisation promoting and stimulating the exchange between art(ist)s and the public. The organization realises this by organizing and creating educational projects and sessions on local, regional, national and international level. For the organization, art is the best way to prompt people of all ages to action, creativity and reflection. We are no youth organization ‘an sich’, but we have close contacts with several youth organizations.
Our target group is a wide variety of people : babies, children, youngsters, families, people with a (mental) disability, adults, school groups,... who we like to let them taste from art and culture during our workshops and LABO’s.

The staff of the organisation included 2,8 full time workers. Additionally, there are several volunteers who work at a variety of levels in the association. One part of the mission of mu-zee-um vzw is acting as an international hosting and sending organisation.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
- enthusiastic and dynamic personality
- willingness to learn the Dutch language (even take a course before the start of the project)
- independent and eager to take initiative
- some experience in the fields of art education or youth work is a surplus value
- sense of humour
- flexible and responsible volunteers are expected to integrate as a full member of the team, involved in all activities going on in the association.

Tarefas: the project focuses on cultural participation in all aspects. The project aspires to stimulate art and cultural habits with children and young people. We want to involve new ideas and a widen scope of experience in the association. Coordination and exchange are keywords in this project. There are many learning opportunities for the volunteers like discovering many kinds of arts, new skills, a new language, involving children and youngsters in creative sessions and take responsibility to realise an own project. They will learn how projects are set up, how sessions and workshops are concepted, what methodology we use for art education, how they can organise and take responsibilities themselves in projects, courses or sessions. The volunteer will mostly work with young people and will be participating in workshops with them.

Condições: Accommodation: The volunteer will have a room in a house with other volunteers, with common kitchen and bathroom. Transport: The volunteer will have an own bicycle to travel around.
Food: the volunteer will receive a food allowance monthly, to take care themselves about all food and meals. The volunteer will also receive pocketmoney.
Language lessons: the volunteer will get an individual language course, with a special focus on the work in the organisation and the daily life situations.
