Resumo: (refugee help)
The Hosting organization is an independent initiative run by volunteers. Citizens have been campaigning for refugees in our city since 2015.
250-300 volunteers, including over 75 refugees and its numerous local network partners, have been involved with and for around 400 refugees. Since 2017 our initative aditionally organised itself formally as a registered non-profit organisation. But volunteering in our organisation does not need a membership.
Each year we offer 3 places for federal voluntary service as well as long-term internships for students. Our board of directors all work on a voluntary basis.

We provide active support so that refugees arrive safely in Sprockhövel, feel welcome and can integrate as quickly as possible. We work closely with associations, parishes as well as private and public institutions.
A partnership-like relationship on an equal footing is particularly important to us. We therefore stand for an open, intercultural exchange - characterized by curiosity, mutual learning and appreciation. Therefore, of course, all of our offers are also open to locals. Community is very important to us.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for an open-minded person with minimum basic computer knowledge (office programs) and German language skills (A2 level minimum) who is interested in various fields of freetime activities. This person must be communicative, solution-oriented and a teamplayer.

Tarefas: - Support of social projects for a better coexistence of locals and new immigrants. These include e.g.
- Assistance in family café and in the repair café
- Accompanying excursions
- Support of feetime activities such as bicycle, bowling, cooking, creative, painting, sewing and games meeting, gardening, darts ‘n‘ drinks, ... depending on one's own interests and strengths
- Support of events and festivals such as the intercultural summer festival
- Playing with children and accompanying the playmobile
- Assistance in the clothing store with issuing and receiving
- Individual help with smartphone and basic PC knowledge
- Sports
- Language courses - Orientation in daily life and
- Assistance in our meeting point. Furthermore volunteers are welcome to create and implement their own projects. We help to set up the framework and resources.

Condições: We help to find a private accomodation and offer a public transport ticket.
