Resumo: The Association is now looking for 2 motivated young people to spend great time as EVS volunteers in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria! The project is related to work with young people from 16 to 25 years old, organizing different social and cultural events, workshops, debates, editing youth newspaper, activities to promote volunteering, etc. The project is starting from October 5th till June 5th. The call is open for young people(18 to 30) from all over Europe and beyond no matter social, economical, religious or cultural background and status.

Perfil: The team doesn't have any specific requirements to the abilities of the volunteers; for us the most important is the active participation and their own contribution to the project. We want to give chance to as much as it is possible young people, regardless of their social, ethnic and economic status, who want to develop their own potential; to learn and to share and give from them. We are going to look for young initiative people with broad ideas and imagination. However, we will require from the volunteers to speak English and Russian at communicative level so that our communication will be more effective.
The volunteers will be selected according to the following criteria:
· To be interested in the offered activities and ideas and to be willing to contribute to their development;
· Social skills;
· The ability of the organization to give the chance to the volunteer to implement their knowledge and skills in practice;
· The presence of possibility to enlarge the experience and skills of the volunteer according to the profile of the offered activities;
· Of course, in the selection of the volunteer, the gender equality will be respected.

Tarefas: The Association works in different fields which gives opportunity to the volunteers to develop their skills in different spheres, considered important and interesting by themselves. It is important for us the volunteers to be able to get involved in the work of the organization, aiming to achieve self-improvement. One of the most important aims of the organization is to inform young people for the opportunities to participate in different projects, initiatives and activities on European level. According to us, the most effective way is to have a person who is already taking advantage of such opportunity, a person who can share their personal experience and knowledge. This way is much more perceptible and accessible to the young people than any kind of brochures, flyers and etc. At first place, the organization wants to accept volunteers because we believe that it is an unique opportunity for the youth of the region to meet youngsters from whole Europe while sharing their own traditions, language and culture. Through the volunteers, we are going to accept, we want to give an opportunity to the schools and universities of the region to meet with them and value the different cultures. On the other hand, during their volunteer service, the volunteer will have the chance to get to know deeply the culture, traditions and understandings of the local community. The youths will acquire knowledge which is needed for their own realization and prosperity in their personal and professional life. Also, we want to give a chance to the volunteers to acquire experience in the sphere of non-formal learning. We want to give them the opportunity to realize their own potential and ideas through learning from the experience of the organization and contributing to its development. In our team there are young people experienced in developing youth projects and the volunteers will be able to get involved in these activities. These young people, together with the project coordinators and the mentors, will help the volunteers to get used to the environment and feel well; also they will stimulate their ideas. After arriving of the volunteer, it will be created a schedule of the activities. Leaving free space for activities organized by the volunteer, we aim to stimulate their imitativeness and activeness. Simultaneously, through already scheduled activities they will be able to improve their communicative and organizing skills. During the project will ensure opportunities for the volunteer to participate in ongoing seminars, trainings, exchanges in and outside Bulgaria, while will contribute to enriching theirs knowledge and experience in the field of non-formal learning.

We will try somehow to include the volunteers in the daily program and work of the association according to their interest of course. We would like to give them an open space-a place to propose, organize and coordinate different activities. The volunteers will be able to:
* take part in the information days and campaigns, organized by Alternativi International;
* be a part of the team responsible for editing the youth newspaper;
* assist youngsters from the local community in learning foreign languages;
* take part in organizing different cultural happenings;
* lead short trainings/seminars/presentations on themes such as discrimination, intercultural learning , tolerance, comunicative skill, etc. with the support of the team
* be a part of the team reponsible for developing differents projects on national and EU level
* update the web page of the organization;
* organize youth meetings and events:

* organize meetings/campaigns/presentations to promote volunteering and EVS in particular;
* visit schools in the region, especially those in the small towns and villages;
* organizing different happenings to show their own culture, traditions and customs, music, dances and language;
* stimulate social inclusion trough different activities-visiting orphanages, social houses for people with fewer opportunities, etc.
* take part in organizing youth initiatives and events in schools, universities, youth centers and houses in the region;
* take part in activities, organized by different institutions-The municipality, youth houses and centers, universities, etc. )
* develop promotional materials for different events and so on.

Horário: The volunteers will work averagely 35 hours per week; 7 hours per day (including lunch and other breaks). The days-off will be usually on Saturdays and Sundays with exceptions when there are planned activities. In such cases, the days-off will be compensated with free days during the week.

Condições: Now we think that the maximal number of volunteers who can do their service for the same period is not more than three. The team insists on having daily personal contact with the volunteers so that it can be available 24 hours a day and to be adequate to solve all potential problems. Thus we can divide effectively the human and the technical resources we have available so that we can me maximally effective and efficient for us and for the volunteers. Every volunteer will be accepted as one of us and we will have individual approach to them. We want to absolutely sure that every single volunteer will get equal attention and cares about the accommodation, activities, non-formal learning and also the suitable mentor. It should not be neglected the possibility of occurring crisis situations and problems of any kind; for their solutions it will be needed great part of the potential of the organization.
For us is important that every volunteer will be provided with the same conditions, of course, consistent with their personal needs. Everything, of course, according to the human resources we have. That is why the maximal number of volunteers that can do their service in the same time is three. We want every one of them to have their own mentor who will be available almost at any time. It is because the mentor will be the person directly responsible for the volunteer and this person will be the most suitable according to the individual qualities and needs of the volunteer. Thus every volunteer will feel themselves special, secure and taken care of. This also will be a preventive measure for potential problems and crises situations.
Accommodation - if there are 2 or 3 volunteers at same time, they will be lodged together in one flat but every volunteer will have their own separated room. There is possibility that the volunteers will be accommodated at student's dormitory; two volunteers will share one room. We will endeavor that all volunteers will have everything they need.
We consider that we are capable to fulfill our commitment to every volunteer with the same high quality by using efficiently our human resources and having individual approach to every one of them.

Risk prevention, protection and safety:

At first place all volunteers will be insured with the specific for EVS insurance - AXA for their whole stay of residency. Beside this, they will be informed for the local community and for the potential risks before their arriving. The accommodation of the volunteers will respond to all criteria and safety and it will be according to their needs and the preferences. On their arriving they will get a map of the town and a list with all emergency phone numbers and also the phone numbers of the team. All activities will be discussed with the volunteers so that they will be suitable and safe for the volunteer.
The most important for us is to have clarity among the volunteers: for their duties and activities that they are going to take part in; for all details concerning their lodging; also the volunteers to be enough motivated so that we can avoid misunderstanding and crisis situations. Moreover, on the trainings before and after arriving they will be clarified about any potential risks and crisis situations and the measures they can take for their avoiding and preventing. We will accept the volunteers as a part of the team and we will be available for them at any time. The project coordinator, together with the mentor, will be in constant contact with the volunteers, if not personal then via the e-mail and skype. There will be also weekly meetings with the mentor for avoiding or solving any kind of problems. If, eventually, occurred problem cannot be solved only by the mentor, coordinator and hosting organization, we will look for further assistance by the sending organization.
The organization would like to accept volunteers who are on the age of 18 or more.
