Resumo: (an educational centre for children from 6 to 15 years old)
The Educational Center, in collaboration with the Educational Quality Service of the Municipality of Forlì, offers afternoon activities aimed at children and teenagers who wish to have new experiences in a serene group atmosphere.

Here it is possible to find help in carrying out the school assignment by deepening the individual study method, but it is also possible to experiment in graphic, pictorial, manipulative laboratories and in recreational and game activities.

The family, through daily dialogue with educators and with other family realities, can find support in their parental role and support in school mediation.

The basis of our working method is dialogue and shared planning with the various educational agencies in the area, with a view to the community that educates.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: During the afternoon, the organization hosts about 8 0 children from 6 to 15 years old, among whom there are some second generation immigrants and some children in a situation with fewer economical opportunities, and to whom the centre offers the chance to develop training, ludic and workshop activities

The volunteer will be involved in
- Tutoring the staff organize small study groups in which young people do their homeworks search additional information and are helped with eventual learning difficulties

- Workshops and Atelier the workshops are places in which young people learn by doing and do in order to learn. There are different types of workshops from corporal expression to the creation of objects, from reading and writing to music and art

- Summer camp at the end of the school year,year, the organization becomes a summer camp and it is open all day long 7 30 a m 6 p m with activities like games, workshops, small trips and educational visits, swimming pool, dance and holiday homeworks

Horário: The volunteer service will take place from Monday to Friday for about 32 35 hours per week with Saturday and Sunday
usually being free. A possible timetable will be from 2 :00 p.m . until 7:00 p.m . during the school year, and in the
summer the volunteer will also work during the mornin g but some changes may be agreed.

In particular situation, such as during trips or summer holiday, the volunteer may be asked to do their service on
Saturday or Sunday but in this case alternative free day will be agreed.

There will also be two day holidays per month to be used according to the volunteer’s needs but always to be agreed
with the supervisor.

He/she will live in a flat with other esc volunteers, the apartment has 2 bedrooms and it’s near the city centre. The
volunteer will share a double room (in the apartment there are 2 double rooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a big living
room)


The volunteer will have a bicycle to move freely in the city.
