Resumo: (LGBTIQ for Youth)
The hosting organization is a civil society organization, founded in 2012 in an attempt to promote the visibility of sexual orientation minorities (lesbian, gay, bisexuals etc.) gender minorities (trans and non-binary people) as well as of intersex people.
Some of the objectives of the organization are:
- To raise awareness in local community regarding LGBTI+ rights
- To educate people and especially youngsters on LGBTI+ causes and foster allies in society
- To fight for the equal rights of same sex couples as well as legal gender recognition
- To counter discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression
- To show solidarity to the LGBTI+ community of the Greek countryside, as well as other cities and countries, especially where the LGBTI+ people are most discriminated against.
- To create a more tolerant society by promoting diversity and intersections with other vulnerable groups
For this purpose, the hosting organization organizes a series of activities throughout the year with main focus on the festival that holds the organization’s name, an event which stands as the realization of the right of LGBTI+ people to be present in the public sphere and contribute to the public speech as such, ie. with their LGBTI+ identity.
Apart from the annual festival, Thessaloniki Pride also organizes in regular basis:
- Educational workshops and seminars
- Cultural events
- Empowering and networking activities with international, national and local partners
- Advocacy to promote the rights of LGBTI+ people

The hosting organization refers to LGBTI+ people living in Greece in general and provides LGBTI+ people and LGBTI+ youth in particular with the opportunity to participate in the organizing of the biggest event concerning their community, become more involved in their community and learn more about activism. Through its activities and events, the hosting organization aims to raise awareness in the general public and involve other organizations and institutions to aid our cause and become more involved in it themselves, towards equal treatment, equal justice and equal opportunities for LGBTI+ people everywhere.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
During the selection process, there will not be any discrimination or prerequisite, such as specific educational background or work experiences, but some certain skills are required. It will be important for participants to posses social media skills, while skills or experience in event planning will also be considered as a strong plus. Other desirable skills can include video making and graph design. The call is urgent and applicants must be eligible to start the activity as soon as possible, early May.

Tarefas: The activity concerns supporting one of the biggest festivals in Greece. The 2 participants will contribute to the preparation of the event and the side events (one week of workshops/exhibitions/parties before the final parade). They will contribute in creating the program, develop creative material for the dissemination and in using social media and other tools to reach the target groups.
In addition, during the months preceding the Pride, volunteers will help organise awareness activities and social events in the city. They include:
- workshop about LGBTIQ for Youth, in collaboration with other organisations
- social media campaigns to fight discrimination
- flashmobs
- cultural events (art/photo exhibitions, documentaries screenings and debates).
They will also promote the ESC program and the mobility opportunities for the youth amongst local youth.

Condições: The volunteers will stay in a five-floor independent building with two common spaces floors (plus the terrace) and three floors with the rooms, single and shared. In the accommodation are living volunteers participating in other ESC projects. The participants will thus be able to create an informal network that will constitute a means for mutual support and exchange of experience during their project. The house is very close to the city center. Volunteers will also be provided with a transportation card, to use the city's bus lines. Food is provided through a catering service during the week
