The hosting organization is an organisation that raises awareness about healthy and sustainable food and nature. It reaches out to a wide range of people: children, adults and people with vulnerabilities. To carry out its projects, it has two locations in the heart of a village

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for an open-minded young person, interested in a participative and civic-minded project, who likes life in the open air and working in contact with nature, who questions the impact of his or her consumption and more specifically of his or her food on the environment, health and the people who produce it, who feels concerned by the restoration/protection of nature, who is at ease with a variety of audiences (children, adults, people with disabilities,...), who takes initiative and can work both independently and in groups. A basic knowledge of French would be a plus

Tarefas: - Accompany and assist leaders in their awareness-raising activities (vegetarian cooking, biodiversity, edible wild plants, etc.) during courses, workshops and events.
- Depending on your experience, supervise and lead nature and cooking courses during the school holidays for children aged 6 to 12 under the supervision of the activity leaders.
You will also participate in the life of the NGO:
• by accompanying the facilitators during the weekly visits to the garden and the grocery shop.
• by contributing to the life and maintenance of the 65-acre vegetable garden: market gardening, ...
• by getting involved in the citizens' grocery shop • by providing your support for the general management

Condições: Volunteers will be accommodated in a flat near, 20 minutes by public transport from the organisation or in a shared apartment near the mission site. Every month, the volunteers will be paid an allowance, including food and pocket money. Local transport costs (bus and bike) will be fully covered by the Platform for Citizen Service (PSC), our lead organisation. In the workplace, the young people will be provided with all the necessary equipment for the performance of their various activities/tasks.
